Where do I start? It was difficult to find the place considering they have zero signs above the restaurant or even on the door, literally nothing. People have been complaining about this for a while so this isn't all of a sudden, seriously, you can't just put up a sign? The atmosphere was dull, dark and had nobody inside. The lady at the counter gave okay customer service at best. Now to the food, the mashed potatoes taste like instant and the gravy again tasting out of a mix or powder. The Mac and cheese was clearly baked a while ago and they microwaved it to order. It was extremely mush and bland with barely any cheese. The hush puppies tasted of just general corn flavor but extremely dry like sand, not good at all. The tenders tasted of the quality you get at a cafeteria but also kind of rubbery making me question where they are getting their chicken or maybe it's old. The sauces were weird and off tasting. Now, the only thing I can say was good was the fried chicken breast, tasted fresh, was hot and seasoned well but some may think it's too salty, but for me was fine for my tasting. Definitely over priced for the quality and taste you are receiving. They also claim all ingredients at their restaurant are sourced from local farmers markets only which I can absolutely say is total bullshit unless they are directly buying their instant potatoes and gravy from a booth of which I would ask, why?

My wife and I stop by after her doctor appointment we are from Lansing Michigan, my wife order a catfish dinner with candy yams and coleslaw. My order was a three-piece wing and fries and our food was delicious with lemon cake and pie, which was so good. The food is cooked post order. Received the following cooked to perfection: catfish entre, whiting entre, and 2 chix entres. Omg...delicious. For desert, a slice of lemon pound cake, which was also delicious. Can't wait to return next week.
My husband and I ordered 4 piece chicken only and catfish dinner plate with fries and okra the chicken was seasoned to the bone 😋. The fish was fried and seasoned just right we will be back
The food is fantastic—everything from the greens and onion rings to the okra and homemade desserts. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, the bathrooms are clean, and the staff is genuinely kind and friendly. It’s the perfect spot for some hearty comfort food, especially during the colder months.

Tried for the 1st time today. Got the Catfish dinner with greens and mac and cheese and ordered a wing and drumstick fried extra crispy. The meat was fried and seasoned to perfection. The greens were seasoned well!!. Only giving a 4 star because the mac needed a little more cheese for me but overall the whole meal was great!! Will be returning soon!!
