Def not the best
Good service, kinda people. But terrible food (like fr). We ask 4 burgers, 3 are burned. Bread burn, meet burn, bacon burn, i ask medium rare and give me well done. The best part was when we leave. Also overpriced for a burgers to come without fries. A big skip.

Big fan of the place before they downsized...the atmosphere feels very different and changes the dynamic in some way. The staff are typically really nice and attentive... We left once around a year ago because the bartender didn't even glance our way when we sat at the bar (8 mins).
The food is really creative and typically very good. Really appreciate their rotating beer selection. It's still a must do when you're in Ypsi!

The first thing that hits you is a strong smell of pot coming from the dispensary next door which permeates the entire bar. Eventually I went nose blind to it but it's the first thing and not a great start.
I hadn't been here in years but the new layout does the place no favors. Oddly shaped and not really welcoming compared to the large open space I remember from years past. It now feels cluttered and small.
We were a party of 4 with no other tables in use and a few people at the bar. The menus were sticky, with food spots and stains. Food wise, it was fine and the beer was cheap as it was happy hour. The buffalo chicken sandwich I had was good as was the poutine tots but pretzels at a bar with no cheese or mustard is odd. Odder still is served with sweet cinnamon marshmallow fluff. Their recommended brat was pretty flavorless.
What tanks this place is the service. We were the only table in the place and the food took much too long to come out. Apps took 20 minutes as did entrees. We sat with empty water glasses for at least 10 minutes with no other tables to serve which is kinda crazy. I asked for a pretzel bun and got a brioche. My friend asked for no tomatoes on their burger and had to take them off. The side salad doesn't come with dressing as part of the price and the dressing is extra. What kind of place charges extra for the salad dressing on a salad?
If you want cheap beer or a drink, maybe this is your place but I can think of many better alternatives nearby. Thompson and co, Aubree's, and sidetracks offer better food, drinks, and service and are just down the road.
Will not be back.

I visited at about 4 pm. No free parking anywhere in downtown Ypsilanti and not for this business. The draft beer was warm and the bratwurst was average. I came because of the reviews; however, my standards must be higher than most. I won't be back. If there was better parking and cold beer, it might be a great place later in the evening. Staff were pleasant.

I love a good play on words and the Wurst bar made me smile with it's name and they do make good Bratwurst. I have been here a few times and it is always a pleasure. willing to experiment I tried a new special a pb&j burger. I was a little worried at first but the peanut butter sauce and jalapeno jelly worked with the burger and I really liked it. Also with my medicine I do not drink or drink carbonated beverages. The waitress not only brought a pitcher of water to my table but offered two different types of lemonade.

I used to absolutely love this place when I lived in Ypsi two years ago. I just recently came back and whatever remodel they did in that time makes the place feel significantly less warm/welcoming. We ended up sitting out by the patio because that honestly felt like the only nice place to sit, which didn't used to be the case.
I can't comment on the food quality since I didn't order anything, but the food was pretty decent two years ago. What I will say, is that out of the three beers I ordered, two of them tasted spoiled, and none of them could be considered fresh tasting. When I woke up this morning, I felt sick like I consumed something I shouldn't have. I can't even say it was just a hangover because of how specific it made me feel. It felt kind of like acid reflux in the morning but also in my muscles

It honestly makes me ill to write this review.
We started coming here when it originally opened. Back then and for some years after it was a hidden gem. Excellent atmosphere, excellent service, and even better was the food.
We have not been able to dine in for a few years.
When we walked in, there was nobody to greet you. Just a girl behind the bar waving you in. Half of the bar/restaurant is gone. Taken up by the dispensary next door. So the wurst bar is now a goofy small tight maze that makes no sense. Atmosphere: Gone.
We were promptly greeted and asked if we wanted food when we sat down. Asked what drinks we wanted and those came relatively quick. I assumed all would be well. I was wrong.
The bartender/server spent about 95% of the time fratinizing with the other bartender and some dude that had 1 drink that hadn't been touched the entire time we were there. Apparently he was more important. The crazy thing is, they were complaining to this guy, loud enough for all around to hear... about what? Getting poor tips, and the types of people that leave them! I thought for sure Ashton Kutcher was going to jump out and punk us at that point.
Service: Gone.
Our Appetizer, never came. Our side order of tots, came AFTER we requested the bill to pay. The side of veggies for a burger, nahh sorry.
The food quality dropped a good half of what it use to be. The menu is half the size. No more exotic courses. No more staples like the ringer or the lobster roll. Food: Gone
I guess this truly is the worst bar now. Rest in peace wurst bar, you will be missed.
