My wife and I decided to give this one a try. It is a basic dine-in or carry-out restaurant. It is not a buffet style venue. They do not serve alcoholic beverages. They offer a full menu of American style and Chinese style food items (first time I have seen a menu split like this). My wife ordered an egg roll and American style Kung Pao Chicken. I ordered egg drop soup and spicy Chinese style pork and green peppers. service was excellent and food very good.

Soo good. Squirrel fish dish is amazing, we got the spicy and sweeter one, hard to pick a favorite.

I'm shocked that this place isn't more popular since it's possibly the best authentic Chinese food in the broader area. My parents who are Chinese found this restaurant on Yelp and I've been here a handful of times ever since. It's been a hit with many of my non-Chinese friends too! The service has been good every time I've been there. My favorite dish is the "squirrel shaped fish" with the vinegar sauce; the orange sweet and sour sauce is good too, but for me the vinegar sauce is just awesome. The cumin lamb here is really good, and all of their cold noodles are very good and popular with my friends. They have a sichuan style spicy fish soup that's super good. If you don't do spice, the almond chicken is another good one.So I would recommend going with a group and sharing food family style and maybe even asking the staff for authentic recs if the food I've listed above doesn't appeal to you. I always leave this place stuffed, great restaurant!

Bring your hard earned money somewhere else, the owner is unbelievably beyond rude and does not appreciate her long term customer. Went there to eat, no greetings at all from the owner when we entered, just tilted her head to signal us to seat after I told her 3 ppl. Told us waitress was sick when she came over to take he order. The whole time we were there, she just brought out the dishes, and came over once and see if we need more hot tea, no smiles, no chit chat, whatever. After we were done with dinner, went to pay at counter, she pointed at the credit card slip and said sign here and tip right here, I was like OK that was more like a demand, so I didn't put anything on credit card, but decided to put down $5 cash on the table, the total bill was $60. She came over, reached for the cash right in front of us, and said "only $5, it was a $60 bill". We were shocked, absolutely shocked at her rude behaviour. We been patronizing her restaurant since it first opened and frequent it about twice a month, even during the pandemic lockdowns, we would order carry-outs, couldn't believe how she treats a loyal customer, and we always tipped the waitresses well. I told her the reason that we only left $5 was because there was hardly any service, not even a friendly greeting, tip is not something you are owed, it's something you'd have to earn thru good service. I also said that you are the owner of the restaurant, your income is from the food you sell, not from tips, it's your own business, it's only normal for you to bring out the dishes if the waitress is sick, do you expect customers to go the kitchen and serve themselves? And get this, she said yeah you should serve yourself, I said then you should've opened a buffet instead. It was almost like her focus was all on the tip and nothing else. She just lost a long term regular, keep up the good work and that business is not gonna last long with that kind of attitude.

A person and I ordered takeout. Specifically the Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special and Shrimp with Vegetable Lunch Special.Everything tasted "Meh". My expectations of spicy chicken weren't met. The menu gave it a spice level of one, but it didn't taste hot. Also, our rice wasn't good at all. Rather, the fried rice tasted like soap. Nothing particularly tasted fresh or flavorful. Maybe they had a rough day. I don't know. Our food could've been better.

The dining room is well organized and put together. Clean, polished, and stacked.Because its location is at one of the local intersections outside of downtown Ypsilanti, anyone can simply enjoy the view of traffic while dining. As I look over the menu, I noticed some of the many exotic food items that were available. You'll have to see the menu for yourself to understand what I mean. But, I am not that adventurous, so I ordered what I know I would eat.The food was kinda so so! Barely any significant flavorings, the egg roll was stuffed with only beansprouts and, again, no significant flavor to tickle the taste buds.•cleanliness, service, and view...3 thumbs out of 8??????

Scallion lamb does not have scallions. It’s full of white onions with very little amount of spring onions. It also don’t have any wok hei, which was the main reason I ordered this dish. With 18 dollars I was expecting more meat than onionsHot and sour soup more on the sweet side and want sour enough. But worth the priceRice is goodWould have given four star, but I thought the restaurant is a bit overrated on google

Good place for real authentic Chinese food.Really depends on the server, can be friendly or just so so. Price is reasonable. Also, you can order spicy dishes as well. Decent lighting, not too dim that you can't tell true colors of what you've ordered.

Don't order the hot pot. My wife and I were craving some hot pot. I called and they told me that it would be authentic Chinese Sichuan hot pot, truly mala they said. They lied. It had maybe 5 Sichuan peppercorns in the whole pot. It had some la to it, but was basically flavorless. Hot pot should be full of flavor and this was just water with some chiles and 5 Sichuan peppercorns. Also, despite speaking Chinese with them, they brought me a fork and spoon to eat hot pot with... I guess because I didn't look like I was capable of using chop sticks. Terribly disappointing meal.

Food- FIREService- FIRE It was cold and raining and one of the ladies ran out in the dark to bring our food and even helped pack it in the car

Came in with my Chinese wife and child. Ignored my order as explained by server and served rest of my family. White guys should probably stay away. Food not very good anyway according to Chinese family members.

Real Sichuan! We lived in China for many years and one of our greatest food thrills is to find a genuine Chinese place that uses all the flavors used in China -- this place does that! Service was very friendly too, but even if it had not been, this place would be 5 stars just due to the food!

Wow this place certainly has a unique menu with authentic dishes. If you are looking for spicy flavorful foods this is the place for you. Our server was extremely helpful with the menu and our million questions. They seem to have many repeat customers who were also helpful. This is more than a meal but an experience.

I was disappointed that the food at this Sichuan restaurant was not spicy at all. No peppercorns in the food, and you must request chili oil because it isn't on the tables. The food is bland and is better suited for Western tastes, so not authentic. The lamb dish I ordered had more onions than meat. Not a good deal for a dish with mostly onion and bell peppers costs $18.99. The waitress (owner?) was very friendly, though. Lots of carry-out orders. I can see this restaurant does well with locals, but anyone looking for authentic Chinese should look elsewhere.
