Really great drinks and I loved the hard cherry cider, definitely recommend that one! A very relaxing and chill atmosphere with dart boards, live music, and outdoor seating.
Very cool place, I’m visiting from New York and needed a place to eat. I thought because I wasn’t a local I’d be given a hard time but everyone was super friendly. The wings were delicious, they had a live band playing too. Staff was very nice and friend, I had a cherry cider which was delicious. Maybe invest in getting a cleaning staff but other than that 10/10. God bless!
Decided to give Ypsi Alehouse a try after seeing some promising photos and reviews online. It’s located in downtown Ypsilanti, and we ordered through DoorDash to keep things easy.
I went with the 12-piece Buffalo wings, my wife ordered the chicken Caesar wrap, and we both agreed to try the Bavarian pretzel sticks as an appetizer. The food arrived in about 30 minutes, and at first glance, things looked good. My wings looked delicious, and the Caesar wrap appeared fresh and well-wrapped.
But then came the pretzel sticks… and that’s where things started going downhill.
They looked nothing like the photos — clearly frozen, straight-from-a-box pretzels that didn’t have any of the warm, soft, golden-brown appeal you'd expect. The beer cheese sauce they came with was thin, watery, and just… off. Honestly, I couldn’t even figure out what kind of cheese it was supposed to be.
Then came the wings. Despite the good looks, they were completely bland. No seasoning. Just a bit of hot sauce thrown on top as an afterthought. My wife took a bite of her wrap and had the same reaction — dry, flavorless, and disappointing.
Would I try this place again? Honestly, no. I don’t leave many negative reviews, but this one caught me off guard — especially because so many downtown Ypsi spots are usually solid. If you’re in the area, feel free to try it for yourself, but for us, it was a one-and-done experience.

Varied beer selection and whatever taste is to your liking, the beer is excellent. Nice lunch and dinner menu with good size portions and lots of flavor. It's a great place to sit and chat, listen to music or play a game.
So surprised how scary and poor the service was. They were out of grilled chicken, limes for drinks, and their southwest salad. Everything was "we're out of that" Totally rude girl behind the bar where you order (no serving staff). Rough as it comes, strip club kitty corner. Scary, not going back .
Shoutout to Brett, he cool

Enjoyed the burger, and the sweet potato fries. Portion size was good, not too big. Order at the bar and they bring it to your table. Atmosphere was ok. Felt a little run down to me. Seemed a bit more expensive than I'm used to... but that's maybe just inflation these days.

We were here for friends' jazz band performance (Fernwood Underground). The beers were wonderful and the food was amazing! Service was fast and friendly and the owner is very connected to the community and all tips collected were donated to the homeless resource program. We will be back again! (The Chicken Parm sandwich with fries is a must try!)

This cozy neighborhood bar is a wonderful spot for a laid back night out. Friendly staff pour a variety of excellent house brewed beers, while the kitchen serves up delicious food from a well curated menu.
If you're in the area, Ypsi Alehouse is definitely worth a visit!

Cool place with a nice atmosphere. The food menu is limited but good. I am not a craft beer guy, so I can not comment on the beer choices.
