I don’t think these people know their coffee…I wanted to love this place, the employees were so sweet. At least they seemed that way! My friend and I ordered iced vanilla lattes, separately, and they both came out hot. I brought them back to the baristas and told them they were supposed to be iced and they kindly offered to ice them. When they brought them to the cute pickup window, the lattes looked funny and after tasting them it became obvious that they’d poured the hot lattes over ice. It tasted like bad Folgers and gave me a terrible stomach ache almost immediately. Maybe I should’ve gone back again and asked the girls to remake them, but I didn’t want to waste my time.If you’re an optimist, give it a try! I hope their baristas can grow and someone can have a more positive experience than mine.

Excellent place and staff. Massages are awesome. There staff is super nice. Sarah is very knowledgeable about everything she offers. Don't forget a homemade waffle ?.

Nick did an amazing job taking care of my bicycle: quick service & excellent quality! Nick and all the staff are super welcoming, helpful and friendly. My fave bike shop in the St Croix Valley for sure. Their coffee and waffles are amazing too!

The waffle, coffee and bike place is a cool combo. Very cute outdoor seating. Would recommend to stop by and check out Afton state park as well.

Sarah has a magical touch. She knows your pressure points and the experience is both calming and healing. Magnificent.

Certainly a spot worth visiting, the food is good and fresh, the cost is convenient and it is consistently clean there. Highly recommended.

With 2020 coming to an end, we were looking for a Sunday treat after church. Real Belgian Waffles à Liege of course! So after four months we revisited and the waffles with real, fresh whipped cream, strawberries and Nutella, in my case, with a latte chased away the gloom, even having the breakfast in our car across the street. Velo Coffee Cafe is close to closing down for the winter, and really appreciate the excellent food and service from Sarah and her associate. This and the other small businesses on the street are encouraging us by their resilience. Come out in the Spring to support them: you won’t be disappointed.

We stopped to get a nut for our kids bike tire. We quickly got what we needed, a break check, and some advice on where to bike with no charge at all! Decided to enjoy some cold beverages here, and thank the owner for helping us out so we could enjoy our ride. Would be happy to come back again!

I love Velo du Nord! Bjorn is a fantastic bicycle mechanic and does excellent work - fast! They are friendly, helpful and just an all-around great addition to the Afton business community.

We rewarded ourselves with real Belgian waffles, mine à Liege with discreet powdered sugar and whipped cream, while my wife had jam and berries. The coffee, on ice, was strong and made a perfect combination. Great rides around Afton, but end a ride with a treat here.
