My wife and I live in and love Anoka, and one of the main reasons is Billy's Bar & Grill. The food is excellent. Recently I had a conversation with Paul the awesome owner, and he told me that although his supplier offered him better profitability through buying frozen beef instead of using fresh beef for the amazing burgers, he couldn't do it because he wants his customers to have fresh, never frozen, hand-pattied burgers. The Margherita pizza is more of a Bruschetta pizza because it has balsamic glaze that is not normally on Margherita pizza. It's also lacks fresh basil, which is a key ingredient. Either way, it's a menu item to skip if you're a connoisseur.
Get the chips and Queso cheese or garlic cheese bread to snack on instead.

I got the Philly and the meat was really dry and chewy, my fiancé burger was well done when we asked for medium.
Place was not busy except the outside bar area and very dark inside.
