I am so happy I found this gem of a cafe!! The atmosphere is gorgeous, and I love how it is combined with a floral shop- it smells amazing. The staff are super friendly and willing to help, and the food/drinks are affordable and tasty!!

As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted by the most amazing smells between the floral shop and the café. The food is simple, fresh and perfectly balanced. Such a lovely experience and a huge bonus for so many gf options

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on the run and found this little treasure of goodness. Sausage, egg and cheddar on an herbed biscuit. The biscuit is fresh baked and scrumptious with a perfect crumb.

So happy I asked Google Maps to show me a coffee shop in Anoka that wasn't part of a chain. Oakwood Cafe is family owned, it is a beautiful combination gift shop, floral shop and sandwich coffee shop.
I arrived just before 10:00 a.m. and there were several small groups enjoying coffee and conversation there.
There are 4 retro 1950's tables that can accommodate up to six guests apiece, and then a long counter at the front window with high top chairs fit a single or deuce.
Ordered a strawberry lemon scone, the flavor was not as strong as I would have liked but the texture was great. With that a nice latte and I was able to spend time looking over the handmade gifts, wonderful collection of cards for all occasions, at a florist putting together bouquets and perused large collection of house plants for sale, too!
I really enjoyed a quiet moment here we're heading out for my busy day. I would definitely returned with a friend because this place does not have loud music and it's very inviting 👌

I first visited with a friend of mine, it was just lovely! I keep coming back. The price is fair; doesn’t give you that yucky overpriced feeling. The atmosphere is calm with vibrant/retro colors - choice of music is great.

Great little cafe inside a floral shop in Anoka. Bakery is made fresh daily and plenty of gluten free options.
