2024-08-31 - So, first let me say that the service here is amazing and so friendly. The food was a disappointment. I ordered a Meat Eaters skillet and first off it wasn't in a skillet, it was just on a plate. The hash browns were too crispy, eggs were supposed to be scrambled but it was just basically an unfilled omelet, cheese wasn't melted, it was just luke warm. It was ok, but not anywhere I'd go out of my way to come back to.

Sparky's has always been that hole in the wall place that locals have loved for decades.
Food is simple and good. Waitstaff is super nice. place is clean as whistle. The brown haired waitress in her 30s was mean to the older super out going waitress working today, which made me sad.

The highlight of the experience is the disingenuousness of the menu pricing. Beware the restaurant will charge you different prices on the check than advertised in the menu. When I pointed out this issue to the server, she explained it's a credit card surcharge added to each item. Note this practice is not disclosed on the menu or a sign anywhere. The server did not warn us about it either. The fruit substitute for toast also generated an undisclosed charge who's value doesn't hold up. In conclusion, buyer beware.
