Homshuk Mexican Kitchen & Bar

Bartenders are not bartenders, if you’re looking for a decent margarita or cocktail of any sort do not come here. Two different experiences and the margaritas and cocktails were awful.

We planned a big event 2 weeks in advance and they were not properly staffed.but everything turned out ok.

Good food and service. Only reason for 4, was I thought serving size was little on the smaller side compared to competition.

One of the best hidden Mexican gems around. Homshuk nails that balance between laid-back and elevated. The patio is super chill, and the cocktails are creative without trying too hard—tons of variety and some really fun flavor combos. Their late-night happy hour is a great deal, especially with food this good.

We rolled in with a big group and ordered half the menu. The shrimp tacos were a standout—massive, perfectly-cooked shrimp with bold, punchy flavor. But the real showstopper was the flank steak chimichurri. Every single person at the table said they’d come back just for that. It was tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned—everything you want from a classic done right.

Carne asada fries were super fun and flavorful, and the cod + pineapple fish tacos were fresh, bright, and balanced. Add in a killer tequila lineup and some seriously authentic flavors, and you’ve got one of the best modern Mexican spots in the area.

Service was slow and it wasn't even busy
Food was ok.
Other than Latin music, it could have been any other restaurant. Not sure how other people think it has good atmosphere.

I have eaten here numerous times and it has been delicious food and good service every time.

We've been a few times and enjoyed the dishes and service has been great! Tonight was no different! Patio seating, tasty food (so much better than most Mexican places in the TC area!) and great service.

My wife and I live in the southwest Twin Cities area, but we were in this part of the cities for an appointment. I ran across this restaurant based on the location to the appointment and the very positive reviews. I have to say it did not disappoint one bit! From the atmosphere to the food quality and the excellent service that we received from AJ, I looked to come back here again in the near future!

Unfortunately, I wasn’t very hungry so my wife and I split two tacos and the Birria. AJ was an awesome server and I let him choose the tacos. The Birria was AMAZING and the tacos were excellent as well. Without a doubt, the accompanying salsas were some of the best I’ve ever had. I definitely want to come back and enjoy some of the other entrées!

Skinny margarita was superb and the bartender Filipe was so kind, chatting with me when my friend didn't show up. I'll definitely bring my husband sometime soon !!

This restaurant was much bigger & modern than I expected, with multiple TV's by their bar showing multiple different sports. Service was very friendly & helpful from when we walked in until we left. We went with chips & queso for an appetizer and breakfast options for our entrees. The chimichanga was perfect and the queso in our appetizer was some of the best I've ever had. Prices were incredibly reasonable given our large portions too which is always appreciated.

In recent months I have been using Homshuk Mexican Kitchen & Bar to cater events at my workplace. I have also enjoyed dining in the restaurant on many occasions. The food and staff are always amazing! Everyone is welcoming and displays true hospitality! This restaurant is a needed addition to Apple Valley.
