The food at Kumar's was surprisingly exceptional! The authentic blend of South Indian spices is perfect, and the people there are authentic, open to questions, and open to helping those who are less knowledgeable about Indian dishes. Kumar's also takes pride in their cuisine and their ethnic traditions. The weekend buffet is a culinary and educational experience, delicious and generous. Everything dish is delicious, and the pani puri explodes in the mouth. The prices are also more than reasonable, particularly for the quality of product and service. I will be making Kumar's our "go-to" place. I highly recommend this gem in the middle of Apple Valley.
Vegetarian options: The buffet has a large vegetarian section -- equal to the extensive non-vegetarian offerings.
Kid-friendliness: Children are welcome, but proper table manners and behavior are appreciated.
Wheelchair accessibility: Parking is on the same level as the door to the restaurant.

Customer service was above excellent ? lots of variety to choose from, Vegetarian and Meat dishes. So many things to try you won't be able to try everything! Fresh and hot with varying spice levels to choose from. Shrimp, fish, lamp, chicken, mutton were the meat options

We are frequent visitors, especially for weekend meals served on banana leaves, which bring a sense of comfort and nostalgia, reminiscent of traditional meals back home. There’s something uniquely satisfying about eating directly from the leaves, which enhances the authenticity of the experience. On other occasions, I’ve found myself returning solely for their exceptional goat curry, which is a standout dish I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys rich, flavorful curry.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere that makes each visit enjoyable. The service is equally impressive—staff members are not only helpful and attentive but also genuinely welcoming, creating a pleasant and accommodating environment for diners.

Some of the best south indian food I've had in the US. Got Paniyaram and Thalapakatti Biryani-both were very tasty. Some of the reviews might make you doubt, but if you are looking for authentic south indian food, would highly recommend giving it a try.
I've ordered food using a delivery app and they packed food well to keep it warm.

I’ve went two times and thought I should’ve gave sec chance. Food is tasteless & I have been to a lot of indian restaurants. Bad service. They don’t have enough workers in the kitchen so you have a long time for them bring out the food for the buffet. We have waited at least 20 min with starving kids. All the customers were standing around and waiting for food to drop. Never coming back again.

Worst Indian food I’ve had in a long time. My friends, butter chicken had two strands of hair in it. The vegetables in my vegetable dish were inedible. Service sucked and food took a long time to deliver. Half eaten food sat on the tables next to us waiting to be cleaned. Can’t believe that people are giving this place high ratings. It must be all bots.

The food here is excellent! As long as you know how much spicy you can handle and order accordingly, you'll be pleased with the great flavors found within each dish.
The service is terrible. The waiters are nice, but there are clearly not enough cooks or waiters to serve a dinner rush. Tables were waiting for 40-60 minutes to receive orders on a Saturday night. This is also not a recent issue as I found the restaurant had similar issues 9 months ago. I'd love to give this review more than 2 stars, but the poor service is simply too much to bear.
Vegetarian options: Most of the menu is vegetarian.

Quaint little South Indian restaurant. My guy is from Coimbatore and this is his favorite restaurant. There are a few others he'll settle for but this one is the closest to home for him. We drive from Brooklyn Park to have the lunch buffet every couple of months. I'm a born and raised Minnesotan but I am adventurous with all kinds of cuisines. This place is the bees knees! I recommend trying the buffet so you can taste a bit of everything. The goat soup and biryani was divine.
