Rocco’s Pizza Apple Valley

This is definitely our favorite local pizza place. The food is great every time and the service is friendly and wonderful.

I've been rotating pizza places for years. Most places have good days and bad, but Roccos has always been the most consistent! If you haven't tried them before, do it now. By far one of the best pizza places near the Rosemount/ Apple Valley border.

The pizza always come fast and HOT. They have huge chicken wings and they're actually all meat. We love this place!

I love this pizza, it is the best pizza in my book.
However when stopping at the shop to pick up my pizza,I noticed a ton of mouse droppings on the floor under the check out counter. I was a bit grossed out.
I was glad I picked up my pizza, and it was hot and fresh, but again the cleanliness of the shop was a bit in need.

I love the Chicago style deep dish pizza here!!

Last time I was in here I left a large cc tip intended for the kids providing me excellent service. I later came to find out the in-store employees (one of them being my son) didn't receive any tips unless it was cash handed directly to them. I spoke to the owner and he said the money was used for things needed around the business. Such as an air conditioner.

I’ve just discovered Rocco’s and now it is one of my favorite restaurants. The service and pickup experience is top notch, but the pizza is truly where it’s at. The crust is up there with the best and the cheese is incredible. The sauce could be a little less rich, but it’s still groovy, and, to each their own when it comes to marinara anyways. However, one thing worth mentioning is that the menu is confusing. They offer several crust options, including both deep dish and Chicago style. If you’re a pizza purest like me, you’ll know that deep dish and Chicago are the same thing. Obviously, one of the options is going to be the authentic deep dish Chicago, with the sauce on the top, covering the cheese similar to a lasagna. The other is going to be a normal pizza with cheese on top where it belongs, but the crust is nice and thick underneath. We took a gamble and thought maybe Chicago style would be the regular kind, but we were wrong. That’s not to say that it wasn’t delicious, but I will always prefer cheese on top of a pizza where it should be. This peculiar style is like having a double cheeseburger with the two patties on the outside and a single bun in the middle. Oh well, it was still terrific and now we know better for next time. The toppings under the sauce could also be more plentiful, similar to what other reviewers said, but at least it wasn’t quite as skimpy as Dominos or something. Pro tip: stick with the “deep dish” and go the extra mile and get extra toppings.

If you are ordering online read this.Their crust size on the ordering section goes thin crust, thick crust, xtra thin crust.....My stupid brain thought I was ordering xtra thick crust. But the thin was still great pizza. Also the employees were good.
