Umami Bowl

Food is great and I loved coming here, but one instance gave me a poor liking to the placed and I haven't gone back since. This happened months ago before the pandemic, but still remember. I went in to order and was told 20-25 minutes. Went next door to kill some time and came back about 20 minutes later. Half our order was ready, so sat around some more. It was about 30 more minutes before our order was completed and they still missed part of the order. Half the food was cold and I saw that they didn't even start the other half until a little bit after we got back. During this time, they had other guests eating in. The cashier/server was talking to the chef/I believe owner about how the wontons were overcooked/burnt, but was told to try to serve it anyway. He did and then I overheard them complaining about the food so they remade it. Just disappointing that they tried serving something they knew was bad and no idea how they manage their cooking order.

I have eaten from this place many many times. It is just simply THE BEST!!! I’m nervous that they didn’t last through Corona!! Please does anyone know if they’re still open? I will need intense therapy if they closed! I even got my sister to eat from here!! And she hates Asian food. Well any food that’s healthy really...and my nephew who used to work in an Asian restaurant said it’s the best fried rice he’s ever eaten!!!

Food was phenomenal. Ordered a basic pad Thai, red curry, and the pho special. Portions were much more than I thought I would get for the price. Every sauce was incredible. The pho is the best I've had South of the river. If you don't want to make the trip to quangs, this is most definitely the spot. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Very nice staff, but not a fan of the food. I ordered the chicken fried rice and wanted some spicy, so ordered it medium spicy level. The rice was very sweet. I don't know if it was the spicy sauce that made it sweet, but I couldn't eat more than half of it. Chicken fried rice isn't supposed to be sweet.

Not bad

Tasty local place in Apple Valley for Pho (Vietnamese soup) and curry. This isn't Quang, but it also is some of the best Pho you can get off Eat Street. Vegetarian and gluten free options as well.

I order from this place at least once a week. I am ALWAYS very satisfied with my food and I have become a regular who is recognized when I walk in or even phone in an order. I feel very welcomed here and the food is delicious. Only criticism I have is that the sauce and oils leak through the togo boxes if you wait too long to move the food into a separate container.

Food is excellent. Made to order. Fresh and hot. So full of flavor. Fresh crisp veggies. The oysters wings are really good. Good prices and friendly staff. Thanks for dinner guys. Be safe!!

Love the Menu and great service!

Service is good and the food is decent. I recommend staying away from the chicken dishes. Stick to the add on dishes and bubble teas.

Good food all around. I'll go back. The dumplings were nice and crispy and fluffy. Chicken pad Thai was real good, maybe a little sweet but not enough to get sick of by the end. Worth the visit!

Caught them on a busy day but food came out fresh and delicious! I recommend the pad thai, curry, and pho. Awesome staff and took care of us as fast as they can. Highly recommend this place, worth the wait!

This was my first time at Umami Bowl. I had Teriyaki Chicken bowl with dumplings on the side. We also had the egg rolls which were so so good with the sauce they serve with them! I will surely be back to try more new things and have more of those egg rolls! The guys working there we very nice, fast and helpful!

I visit this special restaurant many times because I love the good air that is exist in this place. The personel is exceptionally attentive and experienced. The service is extraordinarily rapid. Needless to say, the food they cook is great. I ate there more than once and I was always delighted. The payment is fair. I recommend this restaurant to to everybody.
