My experience with ( sunny spot diner) in Austin MN...
Well let's just start by saying it was my first time there, definitely had old timey diner vibes and I like that...
That being said it's kinda the only positive thing I have to say about it...
My wife ordered a hash brown omelet, a pancake and coffee
( Hash browns, pancake , and coffee were all burnt)
I ordered eggs, toast, pancakes and hash browns..
The only thing not burnt was the eggs 😞 but the white part was still slimy
I understand they had 4 other tables to serve but it took 68 minutes to get my burnt food :(
( I saw the cook a red headed lady run out of the kitchen towards the back exit/ bathrooms 3-4 times in that 68 min), which definitely explains my bad food and the wait time...
I explained it to the waitress, who apologized but still charged me full price and expected a tip
And she said " maybe you can come and try us again"
Lol 😂 ya right I'd need an apology and a 2 free meals to make up for it honestly .. poor service and poor food .. ( the food they post in pictures is really delicious looking but what they served me didn't look at all like the pictures that they post) very disappointed wouldn't recommend

Been seeing the food pics on social media so I decided to give this place a whirl. Made a call...and 25 minutes later I was able to pick up 6 carry out orders. I felt this was a very reasonble time frame considering I was ordering for 6! Breakfast burgers with potatoe wedges. Food was perfection! I will now become a regular customer. Great work Sunny Spot!
