My son and I went in Friday night. We were seated immediately. It wasn’t terribly crowded. Brook was our server. She was helpful, cheerful, and efficient. The Walleye dinner my son had was delicious. Fish was cooked perfectly. I had the Walleye BLT. It was awesome. If you are anywhere near Avon, Mn, go to Fishers. You will not be disappointed.

The best servers, me and my family went here for a birthday with my extended family, the BEST FISH it was nice a crispy, but overall, this is very recommended for big families. Great place with cool paintings as well.

An American restaurant located on the shores of a lake in central Minnesota. You can enjoy traditional American cuisine in an old-fashioned building that looks like it's on a movie set.Although the fish caught in the lake is not firm, it has no fishy smell and is delicious, perhaps because the water is so clean. You can also enjoy traditional fried pickles.At night it has a pub-like atmosphere. It was a nice restaurant where you could enjoy the view of the lake during the day.

I love historical landmarks and this might as well be one. Our waitress was adorable, very efficient and well versed in history. The food was great. The atmosphere was the best!

Nice location, the place is old and smelled a little funky. The people working had no personality and barely said two words to us during our whole visit. Ordered the walleye BLT and it was a mess. Served open with everything piled on the middle of the bun so it was impossible to close and eat as a sandwich. Overcooked dried out bacon, wet shredded lettuce. The breading on the fish was mushy and fell off. Probably would have sent it back but they set it down at the table and said “I’ll be right back with more water”… we never saw him again. We picked at our food and ate the fries which were good, sat and waited until we got impatient and went up to a counter to ask for/pay our bill. There were only 4 other tables with a few people so no excuse for the lack of service.

Good food, great service, and a beautiful view of the lake. It is a very convenient option if you are spending the day at Avon Beach because it is right next to the beach and swimming area. There are a lot of bugs if you sit outside in the summer, but I feel like you can’t really blame the restaurant for that, and you can always sit inside to avoid the bugs. Overall, I would absolutely recommend stopping by for a meal if you are in Avon.Vegetarian options: Multiple options in the appetizers and salads, sweet potato black bean burger, and mac & cheese on kid’s menu.Parking: Small parking lot right outside the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu with coloring activities and crayons provided.
