The Rusty Nail is a great spot to grab a bite to eat and hang out. It is one of the few places in Battle Lake that many will return to, especially since most other restaurants in town are closed on Mondays. The steak bite appetizer is a tasty start, perfect for two people. The Philly Cheesesteak sandwich is also a standout, featuring a soft and fresh bun. The Black and Bleu burger and club sandwich are both generous portions and delicious, while the PB+J burger offers a nice kick without being overwhelming. The fries are crispy and seasoned well, and the fried pickles come out hot and crispy, remaining warm even after a few minutes. The BBQ wings are cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of sauce. The atmosphere is lively and modern, giving off a sports bar vibe along with a casual meal feel. The loaded french fries with pulled pork and Gouda cheese, as well as the onion rings, are must-tries. The cheese balls, though larger than expected, have a lot of cheese in each bite. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all guests, with attentive service even when the restaurant is busy. The prices are reasonable, allowing for a full meal and drinks for under $45. Overall, The Rusty Nail is a welcoming place with great food and service, perfect for a casual meal out.
