We arrived on a road trip at 6:20am to a McDonald's staffed with only one person. We ordered on the app and she saw us walking to the door - she unlocked it and explained that she was alone, but not busy, so come in. While it's nice to HAVE a drive-thru in my small town (McDonald's is the only one), the waiting time is not like large city McDonald's you've been to. I don't think they have any "ready" food, it's made when you order, so expect to wait. Using the app is well worth it.
