We use to love stopping by here on our way to Duluth MN. The last time I was there I asked the bartender what a certain type of beer tasted like. A local tough guy (fat middle aged boozer) with a couple locals yelled across the bar aggressively “It’s beer! Just order one!” It wasn’t busy in the bar (it was 4pm) and this guy was looking for trouble. I was with my wife so I shrugged it off. We are visiting North Country from south of the cities this weekend, and loooove checking out new-to-us, local bars-we found a winner! Alex was as accommodating and sweet as could be, she took excellent care of us! (Both in the bar & the liquor store side;) Locals never disappoint, and it was a very welcoming, chill atmosphere.
