We came on valentines day, no reservations because it was borderline empty. 7pm. It took 4 people walking by us and not seating us or saying anything. Finally got seats at the bar, took 9 minutes to get someone to get us a drink. I got a Miller lite on tap, something i get regularly, and it tasted off. About 5 minutes later i had an allergic reaction. Our friend had yet to get his drink. Every employee kept complaining about the rush, there were dirty glasses across half the bar…. One of their B-day special drinks they didnt have ingredients on hand for. Someone was seated at the bar and got a menu and drink right away. We left after the sour beer to be able to get food elsewhere. Only to see some other friends we saw waiting to be seated there come into the next place saying they waited 40 minutes to be served. We hope to give it another shot cause the food looks amazing.

I love the atmosphere and the view of downtown from the second level. We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer! The food we've ordered has been warm and not always flavorful. I do enjoy the unique dishes and the chance to try something new.

I’ve visited the Blue Oyster a couple of times now, and it’s truly a gem in Bemidji, Minnesota. The food is fantastic—especially their curry dish, which is rich and full of flavor, and the garlic bread is just perfect. They also have a really impressive cocktail list with a variety of colorful and delicious drinks. It’s a perfect spot for a date night. The staff is friendly, and you can find everything from a great curry to a good burger on the menu. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area!

This was our 1st time at this restaurant. I can’t rate the food, because we never received our food. 1st at check in it was very disorganized. No one seem to know what the other was doing. There were empty tables and booths but we still had to wait over 30 mins. Finally seated and had to wait more til finally the server took a drink order. More waiting got our drinks and the server was going to leave when we asked if we could order our food. We did. The. Waited and waited. Tables around us for their food and left and new diners seated. Still no food or even our apps. The sever never once stopped by to ask us for refills on drinks or to tell us what was going on with our food. Finally after waiting over an hr. We just got up and left. As we were standing there to leave the server just walked right by us. No eye contact, didn’t say a word. So we left. Will never be back

Ordered carry out, while the food was tasty, we didn't get what we ordered. Instead of getting a bourbon pasta and a fiesta lime pasta we got 2 bourbon pastas. Like I said, the food was good, just not what we ordered. The mushroom Swiss burger was dry.

It’s disappointing they let her go for a reason that didn’t reflect her work ethic or the value she brought to the place. The restaurant genuinely felt stronger with her on the team.

We waited 10 minutes to be seated at the table we reserved. Ordered drinks, was told she’d bring water for all. After another 5-7 minutes I asked if we could at least get the water. Two people ordered onion rings as their side and they were brought side salads. Fish was hard and cold. Service was horrendous. 4 servers and 3 seemed to hang out behind the bar more than serve customers.
