The service was phenomenal! Excellent server especially for our large group. I tried the full order of fish and chips. The fish was good but the portion size was very small and I am a person who ALWAYS takes home left overs. Pretty good shepherd’s pie, mashed potatoes were really good. Bacon cheeseburger and fries were great. We also had the onion rings as an appetizer and they were perfectly crispy and not greasy. The atmosphere was great. Really gives that old world vibe with all the wood and decorations. In a small town like Bemidji, it’s a nice change from the usual.
We really like this place. It resembles a UK/Irish pub better than any other one I’ve been to in the states. There’s one thing to beware of, when you order the fish and chips the chips are US potato chips so you have to specify French fries. The fish in the fish and chips is about the best I have ever had in the US and every table has a bottle of the requisite malt vinegar!
