This place is SOOOOOO TERRIBLE I donāt understand how it is still in business. The old Mi Rancho that was a staple in Bemidji for many, many years, was a ton of good quality food for cheap, as well as great service. The āNewā Mi Rancho is pathetic. The food is bland, their menu has gone from a 5-6 page selection of options, to a single flip over page. Their prices have more than doubled across the board, and their portion sizes are a SICK JOKE!!! If I spend $30 for fajitas, I damn well better get more than 3 tortillas, 3 pieces of steak, 3 pieces of chicken, and 3 pieces of shrimp. The whole gimmick of Mexican resturants is that you get to always have leftovers, and itās supposed to be reasonably priced. Iām not kidding when I say that I thought they mistakenly gave me a kids portion of my food. It was enough to make 1 large fajita, and then I had literally no meat for the other 2 tortillas. The pop was also flat, and was extremely low on syrup.
I gave this place a chance after they transferred ownership, it sucked. I waited 6 months, it still sucked. I waited another 4 years, IT HAS MANAGED TO GET EVEN WORSE.
Iāll never be eating here again until they change ownership. They clearly do not take any sort of negative feedback under consideration since almost every single negative review is in regards to all of that changes that increase their profit margin, at the expense of the consumer.

One of my top Mexican restaurants anywhere, my favorite I'd say! Would be in the top few in any city in the US. Incredible attention to detail and flavor. Everything fresh and scratch made with no shortcuts means amazing flavor in everything from basic rice to bean soup to the Birria or Ribeye al carbon. Shrimp tacos are my top go to. Spicy salsa is š„ on point for Chile de arbol lovers. Great staff, owners, and atmosphere.
