Its like an old subway was here and someone decided to make it a sub place of a different name and half the quality.
The breads ok. Nothing special. The names are cute, but they subs they made didn't always match what we got. The meat is store bought and nothing interesting about it. It says it has hot subs but the home use toaster oven they have doesn't even toast the bread they put in it. Over all nothing special and not worth the price. The single kid working did her best while her boss sat around the corner ignoring everyone coming in.

Food was good. Toppings for my sandwich were heated separately in a sauce pan while rest of sandwich was heated, which I’ve never seen before. Price is to be expected for the touristy area of Bemidji. Perfect for getting a quick bite to eat between seeing the shops.

It’s not what it used to be. My whole subs weigh in at less than half of what they used to. I would pay $8-$9 for a 2-3 lb sub
I get inflation. But if I’m paying $15 now I want my sub loaded with everything. I’m getting the bare minimum now. It’s still good but compared to what it used to be I’m totally disappointed

Great subs ..the girl at the counter could be a bit friendly if you don't like making subs ..and it shows . don't do it!

Sandwiches are just ok, no better than you can make at home. The bread is soft and dense and tastes like the rolls in a bag you get from Walmart. The meats and veggies did seem fresh. If you’re out and about, it’s an ok spot to stop.
The bathroom was bad though. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in days. The place was dead when we were there, so it would be nice if the worker could give it a quick clean. Pretty nasty.

Too bad will not eat there again. Really good ice cream. Good food. But left state. Wish they will clone a store. Lol
Great food. Very nice staff. My family have been patrons of PBSS for decades.
goid value and good food
I love this place! The best subs in Bemidji! Today the owner gave my son and I each a complimentary Yummy Ice Cream! You must give this wonderful place a visit!!

Can't give 5 stars yet as the ice cream serving was pretty disappointing.. $4 cone with maybe a half cup serving, the cake cone was filled basically in a tower straight up from handle. Most places loop to the outer edges of the cone. I'll give benefit of doubt and hope they learn.
Very good
Only sandwich shop worth going to in town and great downtown location
First time here and I had the Piggy Mango Grinder half sub. It was delicious and I would definitely return for the food. While the sub artist was nice, I didn't feel the warm welcoming customer service that would be expected from a small town, local restaurant. There's definitely room for improvement here to make the experience a 5/5.

Excellent subs and service. Reminds me of Mickey's subs in Brainerd, MN.
