Umi Sushi & Hibachi

Food was good and the hibachi chef was solid. However, out of lobster, out of lemonade, out of tap beers, out of paper towels in both restrooms and extremely slow service. Also, mentioned to everyone during my reservation and again on arrival that we were there for my wife’s birthday, but nothing came of it. Disappointing visit.

Bad reviews hurt small businesses so I'll keep it at 5 Stars. However, having just picked up my Togo order, I'm disappointed to find zero eating utensils, or soy sauce. I ordered the rocky roll and fried rice. I got the ginger and wasabi but no soy sauce? I come here all the time (Togo) and maybe it's the fact that i didn't get a whole "lunch" meal but still... would be nice not to have to use my hands to eat my meal.

Sushi was not great, we buy better at county market in Andover, beef and broccoli was very disappointing.

Sushi is mediocre at best. Just above what one gets at Hyvee. Service on the other hand is absolutely TERRIBLE. My sushi came after my dinner partner was almost done with hibachi dinner...I mean salad, soup and entre. No coming back!

We have been to Umi several times over the past few years for the hibachi. We always enjoy the "dinner and a show." This last time our whole family got together and went there. We reserved a hibachi for 17 people. The staff is always friendly and courteous. We had one chef for all of us on the 2 hibachi cookers. It was a very enjoyable and delicious time. We will definitely go again.

Drove 20 miles for lunch because the closest place didn’t open till noon and these clowns were supposed to open at 11. Nope! 11:55…locked up.

Came in around 8pm on a Friday night, didn’t realize it was happy hour. So we ordered most the items off the happy hour. The food was delicious and also amazing service. Would definitely come back and try other items off the menu.

This place is the best kept secret in Blaine MN. Incredible atmosphere, food quality, and service. Amazing seeing the Hibachi chefs at work. One of the nicest patios that I have ever seen also! Highly recommended! 5 stars

Ery disappointed came from Northern Minnesota to try salad dressing was so sweet yuck soup tasted burnt !!! My steak and lobster were way over done! It was so fast no entertainment for the price! Never ever coming back and we know many who live in Blaine and telling them never to go !!!!!

As always in this restaurant no one respects the couriers. The restaurant is almost empty, but you can wait for your order 10-30min. No one will go to check if your order until you ask. And this happens all the time. ALWAYS!

I think a suggestion would be to season the meat/food . And not cook it so hard. All the meat in my combination fried rice was very overcooked and flavorless. It was just oil but tasted like nothing. Also, it took like 30 mins with an almost empty restaurant. The restaurant reopens at 4, I guess . Everyone is running around stocking, etc. But it's not a relaxing atmosphere . For instance, my waiter is dragging the dirty dish cart while holding my soup to bring to me, and he could barely set my soup on the table because he didn't want to let go of that cart. Either serve or clean, not both at the same time. The bathroom is not clean. Everyone there was very nice..not one bad thing I can say about their attitudes. The only rhing I enjoyed was the yum yum sauce.

The soup came out cold. I'm assuming they pulled the bowls out of a fridge since the bowl itself was cold.
The ginger sauce had no flavor.
They clearly were not happy that we didn't make a reservation even though they were not busy.
The chef and waitress were very friendly though.
