Applebee's Grill + Bar

I gotta say, this was one of our worst experiences going out to dinner. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated which wasn’t bad for 6pm on a Saturday…..but it gets worse. We were sat at a table right next to the front door which meant a cold breeze and loud talking the entire time we ate. It was so cold but we were too hungry to go anywhere else. We ordered an appetizer but didn’t get plates, silverware, or napkins. It took about 10 minutes to flag anyone down and by the time we got utensils our appetizer was cold. My wife ordered a pink burger but it was overcooked. I ordered a pink whiskey burger that came ice cold and had about a 1/4 teaspoon of BBQ. I asked for a side of mayo and was given mayo packets like they came from the gas station. Our daughter was excited to try the screen with games on it but we were never given one until it was time to pay. Our waiter was friendly but it seemed like the place was way understaffed for weekend dinner rush. I know Applebees isn’t a 5 star restaurant but we have a better experience going to McDonald’s. Our dinner was $75….we overpaid and Applebee’s under delivered.

Came to this place with small child at a non busy time. Was not greet at the door waited there for a good 3-5 minutes before someone greet us at all. They were not pleasant. When our server came to our table we went through our drinks and had to give him our drink order 3 times do to a distraction on his tablet. he also took it sitting down in a chair. Two of our four drinks came from the bar, they were lemonades. By the time we got the drinks from the bar the other two sodas were empty and should have been refilled. He came back for our order and we included also that we need refills. When the food came out we were missing items, the food wasn’t cooked properly and we again were still waiting on our drinks. He kept coming through to the four tables that he had and saying “you’re good”. Worst service I’ve had.

I typically go to Southtown for Applebees because thats my place, but I went at this one once and it was also phenomenal!!!! Staff were soooo unbelievably kind and helpful! Definitely helps that the host that sat us was fine as hell. Loll. Anyways, food came out super fast and was so delish! Service was amazing. Bathrooms were clean and sparkling. Lobby was clean. Great Applebees with even better staff!!

Put in an order at 11 am for a 5 pm Super Bowl pick up. Order NOT ready to go at 5 pm pickup but 5:20 pm. Minimal staffing - looked to be 3 young workers and busy curbside. Once food was ready for takeout, the staff member wasn’t sure how to process payment. Then they brought a receipt back for tip - unfortunately had to pass on tipping. Especially with a game to get back to at home and ample order ahead time, having an order on time would be important. Consider ordering your Super Bowl wings elsewhere. Applebees, consider appropriate staffing (if that was the issue) to account for online and curbside orders on game day. Gave a second star because all items in order.

The food was great and really cheap with the awesome deals that they have. One of the Managers (Israel) came to check on how I was doing, and to see if everything came out how I wanted it. My server (Erica) was very attractive and super nice. Over all the, it's a very welcoming place

Reviewing from Canada. Made it down before the pending trade war, and after a day of swimming got here with the family for dinner around 9. Bryant was a gem of a server, and a terrific human. 5 of 5 stars from Canada! Will be back when the tariff nonsense ends.

Got car side to go live 3 min drive from Applebees on Lyndale Ave, Bloomington Mn
Fries, onion rings, and fish fillets cold Fish fillets were raw inside Called order in 1 1/2 hr prior to pick up When I called to say I was there to pick up, I was told they were just finishing my order So why was it cold and unfinished? Highly disappointed

We go to our local Applebee's just a couple of times a year. The booth we sat in was cold, and I mean cold. There was so much draft though the windows, you could watch them billow out. The food was eatable and not much more. Potatoes could have been made the day before, they where not served hot. Wife and I had same meal, one of those 2 for $32. The shrimp where smallish, but the chicken breast was good. I ordered broccoli with it and it was not even kinda warm. Server was all bubbles and charm until it got busier, then we worked at getting her attention. It will be some time before we even think of going back.

We got there at 11:30 for lunch. Great specials. We sat and chatted without having to shout. Service was good.

Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten sensitive, and I had their French fries and rib tips without any issues.

The staff were slammed with big groups that didn't make reservations but still took care of us and all their customers. I was impressed how friendly they were due to being so busy. A+

I went in on a Saturday at 4:15, sat for 30 minutes, 3 servers walked by without even “have you been helped?” so it’s hard to give any kind of a review. Chances of going back are very slim!!

Had lunch today and had the Big Cluckin' Crispy Chicken Sandwich meal. I ordered a house salad on the side. The salad came out quickly with my iced tea with lemon and glass of water. Had asked Kristin for yellow sweetener, and she forgot it when delivering the drinks.
After my salad was done, she had walked past my table several times without picking up the dish that was set on the side of the table to be picked up.
My meal was delivered, and there was still no pickup of my salad dish. Kristin walked by quickly several times and saw my glasses were almost empty and said she would come back with fresh drinks. She stopped at multiple tables to help and helped at the bar and never came back to my table with my drinks she promised to bring out. I was thirsty to drink something to finish my meal, but the drinks never arrived. She never checked up to see how everything tasted.
I decided to just pay my bill on the table top unit and just leave.
This is not good customer service if you can't do the job of checking in and replenishing drinks as promised. Disappointed guest.
