Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.

We have been to many Bubba Gumps, this MOA location happens to be local to me and my family was in town so they chose to go here. Our appetizers came out after we had finished our meals. The food was ok, not bad not spectacular. When ordering a drink the waiter attempted to get me to buy a different one. When I asked if it was out, he said no then moved on to the next person ?? The only time we saw this waiter was when he was stopping by to try to get us to buy the parent companies membership-which after reading more seems like a scam unless you’re frequenting every single place they own. He asked multiple times, I even tried to hide the pamphlet so he’d stop talking to us about it. No drink refills, didn’t ask how the food was. Felt extremely corporate and just wasn’t a good experience. We did use the stop & go signs but it was someone else that stopped by.

It was wonderful as always. We try to come once a year, due to us being from Northern Iowa. The food was amazing as always. Staff was good; I won't go into detail, but there's a clear reason I gave 4 instead of 5, and I'm not a snitch. We had the Shrimper’s Heaven and 1 lb of Cajun peel-and-eat shrimp. It was delicious.

Very fun. Such yummy food and our server was very good and fast to help us. We had never been there so he gave us some good recommendations.

This is my second visit to Bubba Gump. Food here is great and even though it’s busy, service is just as good. The only negative I have on the service is food auctioning. I’m amazed at how often I have to write about that in my reviews but if this is the first time reading one, it’s a pet peeve of mine. Your food should always be served to you without you having to claim it.

The ambiance here is a lot of fun. The whole restaurant is filled with memorabilia from the movie and the waitress quizzed us on Forrest Gump movie trivia (which I aced).

As far as value, I would say this is on the expensive side, especially for the portion sizes. Portions are not small but they are far from generous. I remember thinking that last time when I ordered the shrimp broil.

In conclusion, if you want a great meal and your not too hungry or if you don’t mind shelling out some extra cash for some appetizers and some desert to top off the tank, I definitely recommend a visit.

Bubba Gump, themed after the famous.ovie Forrest Gump is a very interesting place to visit.

First off the food is amazing and the decor is themed from the movie Forrest Gump.

There are references of the movie in posters and pictures on walls.

This was not our first visit, we have been to other bubba Gump locations as well.

It is definitely a good restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood.

This was an amazing experience! I’m on vacation here at the mall of America but I’m from the coastal south. I got the jambalaya and I made me feel warm and at home in a very different environment from my normal. Bunny was our server and she was the sweetest and most attentive waitress a girl could ask for! And she was hilarious! I highly recommend this place for a bite when at the mall of America, and ask for Bunny!!

Wonderful dinner with excellent service from Makenzia. Spoke with the manager Laura who was so friendly and went out of her way to praised Makenzia. What a great team of employees you have at the mall of America.
