We are very picky on our Mexican food and this food came out so flavorful and very well cooked...

Our dinner was well-seasoned and generously portioned.

I got food poisoning here on 8/15/21. From the chicken nachos or the "El Loro Special", which was a really gross pile of food, which appeared to be cast-offs from other dishes. Asked for water refill twice, 15 minutes later got up to get it myself from the bar.

El Loro has been my favorite restaurant for years, with one exception, and that is the floor cleaner they use in the restaurant. If you've been in the restaurant you know the smell I am talking about. It overpowers the smell of the amazing food- the restaurant smells more like soap than food. I don't normally eat at the American Blvd location, but today I had takeout after working a long day. After waiting a reasonable 10 min for our takeout dinner, the smell of the cleaner had given me a headache. I got home and I could taste it in the meat. I figure I'm just sensitve and I wasn't going to mention it until my husband asked me why the meat tastes like soap. Mine did too.So I called the restaurant to find the phone is forwarded to a mailbox that is full. I'd rather just let the manager know, but how do you do that when you can't even place a phone call? I should have gone to the Lyndale Ave location.I can't get the taste of soap out of my mouth.

Terrible food...Grande Burrito is all steak (cardboard and gristle) could not detect other ingredients...tortilla is very soggy...taco salad is the size of a side salad and the ground beef is actually pureed beef...mush...75% of this meal went down the disposal

Food was good. Our waiter was slow and we had to flag down bus boys twice for drinks and our check. But the price is reasonable and food quality very good.

They have a large professional staff and a huge menu selection. They were attentive and kept our drinks filled. The food was good and almost everyone had plenty to eat but me. My taco salad bowl looked like it was fried from an 8 inch flour tortilla rather than a 10" or larger. Mexican restaurants always brew the best ice tea. It was great although the air temperature was a little too warm. Everyone remarked about that.

I wasn't to happy with the meal, to much tomato flavor in the enchilada sauce and the salsa. The rice was cold and the beans didn't have much flavor as well.

For the price, you just can't go wrong here. Good Tex-Mex. I enjoy going here for lunch with colleagues. Bill is always under $30 and for the volume of food, the price is more than generous. Servers are always kind and make you feel welcomed. It's fast too! What more can I'm you ask for during the workday?

Not overly impressed with atmosphere or staff. Food was mediocre. Asked for non alcoholic margarita and was told everything was premixed.
