Daycie was very helpful in making my order and the icecream was also delicious too!
If you’re in the mood for a classic, premium ice cream experience at the Mall of America, Häagen-Dazs is a dependable stop that delivers both indulgence and a quick sweet break from all the shopping.
From the moment you step up to the counter, the case of rich, creamy scoops beckons with classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and cookies-and-cream alongside seasonal and more adventurous options. The texture is luxuriously dense — just what you expect from a “super-premium” ice cream brand — and makes every bite feel like a treat rather than a quick snack.
I’ve been coming to Häagen-Dazs for a long time and usually have great experiences, but today I witnessed a really uncomfortable situation that I feel needs to be addressed.
A customer became extremely angry and started yell at a female worker who was very kindly explaining why her milkshake came without toppings. (This customer was asked if she wanted toppings and told the cashier no and then proceeded to throw this tantrum because of her own mistake)
The worker calmly told her she could remake it or add whipped cream, and politely mentioned that normally there’s a 50-cent charge. Instead of accepting that, the customer got even more upset, demanded free toppings, and complained that it was the holidays as if that justified treating someone poorly.
This customer greeted this situation like a child throwing a tantrum
I honestly felt so bad for the worker. She handled the situation with so much patience, care, and respect, and was genuinely sweet and apologetic the entire time despite being yelled at. Not once did she raise her voice, instead walked away with tears in her eyes because this customer couldn’t afford 50 cents and expected this business to cater to her needs instead of accepting the workers following the expectations and procedures they are trained for. I want to say I’m sorry she had to go through that — no one deserves to be treated that way, especially when they’re doing their job correctly and kindly.
I’ve been coming to this location for years, and this worker is *always* extremely nice no matter what time I come in. That’s why I expect the owner/management to handle situations like this with respect for their employees. The customer was clearly in the wrong.
If employees who consistently treat customers well aren’t supported, you won’t just lose them — you’ll lose loyal customers too. I don’t want to take my business elsewhere, but if workers aren’t protected, I’ll gladly spend my money at Dairy Queen instead.
Please stand up for your staff. They deserve it. Especially after a situation like this when I see this worker almost everyday here, an automated message apologizing for the employees behavior is a disgusting response when she did what I’d expect you would want. Reading more down I see more reviews about Dayc and They are all good. Also would like to say that this customer stood by store after harassing and taking photos without consent.
Out of all the times that I come here I had the most horrible, unfriendly interaction with some employee named dayc :) today. She had an unwelcoming attitude when I asked for whipped cream on my milkshake then refused to remake the drink correctly & went away. Then she was laughing peeking from the back office employee door. Haagen-Dazs do better with hiring people who are kind to their customers.
$8.72 without tip for the smallest cone ever. Embarrassing!
They added their OWN tip in front of my face then looked slow when we asked why it was added. When we asked them for a refund for the tip she said “well you’re just going to have to be short” and we had to get a manager
Would’ve been a better review but the scrawny blonde girl made my experience real uncomfortable. My girl brought it to my attention, her name was like saliva or something but she kept asking me personal questions like my age my name and where i was from. I just wanted my ice cream My girlfriend wanted to call corporate but I think this white girl just wanted to flirt which is unprofessional. Check your employees she seemed like 14 years old idk But she made me feel uncomfortable and I just wanted my ice cream, I don’t want to flirt
Alekya &laura have great customer service
Visited Haagen Dazs with my family today and the employees really go the extra mile to make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time! I was offered so many samples and they were very sweet. I got a pumpkin shake It was amazing! The girls working earlier are the best, I didn’t get their names but We are definitely coming back and telling our friends to try! Amazing workers, amazing atmosphere and great all around.
Girl was completely ignoring us and the others in the obvious line that was waiting, She only stepped away from her waffle cones to talk to her friend in the corner and brag about her new job but then didnt help anyone else, angela and daycie has name tags on and they were nice but busy, this one had no name tag and obviously had zero work ethic, it’s a shame I used to love coming here but recently I have been met with young kids with zero work ethic who obviously just come in for a paycheck, go to cold stone instead. She also had very messy hair that needed to be contained. She clearly did not want to work so don’t give her work

The ice cream was delicious, despite a small serving. We were charged for 2 smoothies, which they remedied after I brought it to their attention. After leaving, I noticed an added tip of $3.03, which I had not authorized. Mistakes happen, but two upcharges are suspicious.
Amazing Service from Subbu Everyone is patient and kind thank you! ❤️
Very unpleasant people. I stopped for ice cream here with my husband and son about a month ago and interacted with a very rude employee who came in, served a SINGLE customer, and then left the mall. Couldn’t be bothered to wear a name tag like his coworkers but was wearing a hat labeled “boss.” I’m glad he’s not mine!
When to Mall of America this afternoon and checked out Hagen-Dazs. Daycie the employee there recommended a very enjoyable mango strawberry smoothie that was very refreshing. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the experience feel personal and welcoming.
I got a delicious blended coffee mocha with prompt and kind service. Brightened my day before exploring the Sea Life Aquarium!! 🍨🐠
