This place was just okay tbh nothing crazy idk why it has so many reviews? Theres better places in town but it’s not bad. They kinda stingy charging a dollar for chili oil but whatever. Wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again

I haven't had a chance to go to the restaurant yet but I know this guy through Joshlilj's ins. I really respect this guy's kindness and sympathy for the homeless. 5 stars and everyone should go to the restaurant to support him. For Japanese people, as long as you finish your portion, they are very happy.

amazing food and kind people
First time coming here, I was AMAZED at the food. Cute, small environment and customer service was good. I went a few times after that and the food was good but not as great as the first time I went but still my favorite spot to hit up. I always consider this my favorite ramen spot.

It’s good but not by California standards. From people from Wisconsin it’s the best. The broth is not amazing. It’s more like home cooked. The bowls are kinda small, smaller meat portions too.

Disclaimer: My rating reflects the food only. My friend and I at here. Combined, we've eaten at hundreds of ramen establishments in the US and Japan. There are some that fall within range of excellence and others that fall immensely short. Despite its high number of reviewers and ratings, the food fell immensely short of expectation. We ordered the miso ramen. The quality of the noodle was way below par and it was served in lukewarm broth that was far too gelatinous for a ramen broth. The other ingredients also seemed incredibly lacking, and we felt the dish overall was missing vitality, flavor, smell, and other qualities you'd expect out of a ramen dish. It simply left us wanting more. People are too accustomed to leaving five star reviews for food they think they enjoy. This was not even decent ramen. We found another cute Japanese place up the road that was 10 times better quality, in food, service, and atmosphere...called Kyatchi definitely worth 4/5 stars.
