This little "hole in a wall" restaurant had some of the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The bread, oil, and herbs were superb. Our meal was delivered piping hot and with incredible flavor. The restaurant had a modern Italian vibe, playing modern Italian music over the speakers. The restaurant is quaint and fun. A truly delightful meal!

And it's official. This place is the best Italian I've had in the states. I would post a photo but I ate it too fast. When a place smells delicious before you open the door, you know it's gonna be good. Had the gnocchi which was delicious. The man, whom I guess is the owner, took care of me. And he was very welcoming and very nice. I will definitely be back!

We thought the food was pretty bland. Wine was good, bread was good, service was excellent, atmosphere was excellent. Maybe we like a different kind of Italian. Pasta was homemade though, and pretty decent.

Before I leave this review, let me just say I genuinely want to support small businesses, and I have no doubt the owners of Luna Di Luna are wonderful people, but unfortunately, the food fell short of my expectations.

The bread, oil, and wine were highlights of the meal, but beyond that, the experience was disappointing. I ordered the beef bourguignon, and the dish left much to be desired. The meat was rubbery, and the sauce tasted as though it came from a can, lacking the richness and depth you’d expect from such a classic dish. Additionally, the food didn’t strike me as authentically Italian.

That said, the exterior of the restaurant is charming, and the staff were excellent—kind, attentive, and really added to the experience. I can understand why some people enjoy dining here. However, I don’t feel the price matches the quality of the food.

If I were rating based on service alone, it would be a 5/5. But in terms of the food, I feel the current 4.7-star rating doesn’t reflect the reality of what I experienced.

Authentic Italian and homemade sangria was excellent. Fresh hot bread with perfectly seasoned olive oil. Definite hidden gem!

We wanted to try an authentic Italian restaurant while we were visiting. We tried Luna Di Luna and it was a great choice! The food was wonderful! The warm bread was seasoned just right, we got a small salad, and then our pasta dishes were so fresh and flavorful! You can tell that they use real ingredients. The service was great and the restaurant is very cute and cozy. We were staying at Embassy Suites on Amer. Blvd and it only took 6 minutes to get here. Definitely worth the drive and money. Will definitely stop here again if I am ever back in the area!!

I just happened upon this place for lunch and immediately fell in love with it. My wife and I have traveled the back roads of Italy and this really reminds me of some of our favorite local places over there. Warm and inviting space, slightly quirky decor, attentive service, and lovely dishes. Layer in some Italian music and what looks like a decent wine list and you’ve got a little slice of Italy in Bloomington. Who would’ve thought??!! I’m digging it!

Dietary restrictions: They did my dish without cheese due to dairy intolerance.
