My husband, baby and I came in tonight (March 31st) around 630pm. We got a table right away. Sat there for 15 minutes, counted 3 servers and a manager walk by us not one of them greeted us or even stopped to say I'll be right with you. I'm a bartender at another place... So I get when it's busy. It wasn't busy at all and honestly quite rude that many individuals walked right by us including a manager. First time I've gotten up and walked out of a restaurant. Do better.

What a great neighborhood restaurant and bar. Excellent service and wonderful weekend brunch Sat & Sun. Food is always great! It’s my weekly go to after a long day at work😄

Northstar is a fantastic spot in West Bloomington, offering great food, friendly staff, and a convenient location. Everything on the menu is delicious, except for the honey chicken, which didn’t quite hit the mark for us. While it can get a bit noisy at times, the seasonal patio provides a more relaxed dining option. Whether you’re starting your day with breakfast or lunch on the weekend or winding down with dinner, Northstar is a solid choice. We love the crybaby cauliflower.
The food wasn’t great and the service was not good. Our wait staff never checked on us for drink reorders so we had to flag them down for additional cocktails.

Lighting is terrible, fixtures are dusty. The homemade looking plexiglass partitions are gross / dirty and in need of disposal. The French fries looked like something from McDonald’s. The burger however was great. Service was great as well. The place just needs a serious remodel/ cleaning.
