I got a seat at a table with a chair instead of a booth with a bench style cushion seat. I find booth seats in the many places to be too deep for me. I took a minute and found the triple egg dare ya combo and ordered it. It really filled me up! The carafe of fresh coffee was very good and the O.J. was good too.

Perkins is still a decent, familiar spot, but it feels like it’s slipping a bit. The food portions have noticeably gotten smaller compared to before, which makes the value harder to justify. The taste was okay overall, but nothing really stood out and some dishes lacked the flavor I remember. Service was fine and the atmosphere is what you’d expect from Perkins, but the food quality and portion size need improvement to bring this location back up to par.

We stop for breakfast at the Perkins on Lyndale in Bloomington most Wednesdays on our way to see grandchildren. Laura has become a good friend. We are always happy to see her. What a bonus to have a server we love!

The avocado that was served to me was not avocado. It was too ripped and not ripped enough at the same time.
