Over the last 5 or 6 years the consistency of this sawatdee has gone down hill. Its been hit or miss with the misses becoming more common. We recently placed an online order for pad thai mild with a note to make it very mild. I was lulled into a false sense of security because I couldn't see any pepper flakes. But was I ever wrong... it was so spicy I couldn't eat it. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee with a note for lite ice. Well it was full, top to bottom with ice. The only thing that was good were the curry puffs. Sadly, we are done with trying, it's been one too many bad experiences.

Sue's egg rolls are delicious. The yellow curry was fantastic and so flavorful, I will order it again next time. The young lady working was very kind. I'll be back!

Did not enjoy this Thai restaurant at all. Also if you are going because you are gluten free and you notice the menu shows lots of GF items, beware, they are not. They don’t even have a gluten free soy sauce or tamari. My first order of fried rice was a completely wrong item when brought out and then when my Thai curry fried rice did come the chicken was super chewy to the point where both pieces I tried I had to spit out, the rice was crisp and chewy, and it was just a pile of rice with a bunch of yellow curry powder stirred in it. Not impressed and not safe for anyone with a wheat or gluten allergy.
Best Thai food, always enjoy trips to the cities a d stopping in.

Thai fried rice was great. Holy basil stir fry was okay but small in size and heavy on the pepper flavor. Would try something else next time.
Update: went back and had the fresh spring rolls, chicken satay, and tom yum soup all of which were very good.
Very disappointing visit. Im wondering if they're short on food or struggling...I literally got 2 tiny pieces of chicken and the serving altogether wouldn't fill up a child. My son and I have always liked the place but felt a bit ripped-off today.

Food was pretty flavorless and disappointing.Chicken in the pad Thai was frozen and reheated, not fresh. The spring roll was ok, not great, the famous peanut sauce was not what it was from the old MPLS location. Service was really nice, but I wouldn’t go back for the food.

I stopped in for the first time because I had a business meeting, and the person I was meeting with was in the mood for Thai food—so we decided to give Sawatdee a shot. Our server, Daija, greeted us with a warm smile and was super helpful. She even helped my guest figure out the name of a dish she couldn’t quite remember. I went with the Thai salmon fillet, and my guest ordered the Rama Thai Delight.
It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, but it picked up not long after. Even with more tables filling up, Daija stayed on top of everything and continued to give us great service. The food was just a bit salty for my taste, but other than that, everything else hit the mark. The restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, there were plenty of menu options, and parking wasn’t an issue. Overall, a solid experience—I’d definitely go back.

This food was phenomenal. Big portions. This is a simple restaurant with quality food. Plenty of seating. Quick service and they were quick to customize my order when I requested changes. I will definitely be back. Also have a lunch brunch for about $18 Monday - Friday that I can't wait to try on my lunch break.

Surprisingly good!
I’m from out of town and wasn’t sure what to get for dinner. Passing by and the idea of Thai food sounded good.
I ordered beef pad Thai and the fresh spring rolls, very yummy! Got medium spicy for the pad Thai and it is quite spicy in the good way! (I also later on added some of their hot sauce, still can handle it…spicy in the good way ❤️)So so so glad I found a spot for next business trip here!
Great pad see yew!
