Kids love the donuts but get there early! Apple fritters and chocolate old fashioned are a big hit at our house - pretty sure we've only ever bought a dozen (or more).

Best place to get donuts in Bloomington! I come in 4-5 times a month, and it never disappoints. Classic glazed and blueberry are must-haves. Highly recommend checking it out, plus the owner/guy working the counter is so nice.

I bring my kids here most Fridays. Paul, the owner, is very friendly. The donuts are the best value for your money in the area. They will sell out if you wait too late in the morning. I highly recommend supporting this small business!

Best bear claw I've ever had.
It was moist, perfect balance of apple, cinnamon and pastry. My only critique is the glaze is slightly too sweet for me, but still an unexpectedly delicious donut.
The service was friendly, and they have a good selection of other donuts.
We will be back!

On July 20th, I went to Cannon Falls to serve a big group of people donuts for a horse show. As a small thank-you for coming to our show, I ordered $115 worth of donuts upon my arrival at Sunrise Donuts . The guy working there said it was no problem since I didn’t preorder. He went into the kitchen and grabbed all the different assortment of donuts I wanted. But then, I found out that a bunch of people complained that the donuts were moldy. I was busy at the show, so I left the donuts for people to help themselves near the show office. Unfortunately, several people came to me and said that the donuts were thrown away because there were so many complaints about mold. It was really disappointing because I love supporting local businesses. I reached out to Sunrise via Facebook messenger and no response. Pretty disappointed.

The kids wanted to grab some donuts so we stopped in and grabbed a couple of glazed donuts and a powdered sugar with raspberry filling. Kids loved the donuts. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Raised and cake donuts are both great
I got their raised sugar donut. Really fluffy but still has a nice little bite to it. I wish they had outdoor seating bc today was so nice but it's okay! Grab and go! :D

Great local donut shop! Stopped in when visiting. The worker was so nice and helpful with all of the flavors. The prizes were amazing as well! Around $1.75 per donut. We do wish they had chocolate milk to drink though, lol! The inside could be a little more decorated and cleaned up, but otherwise, this is a great place!
They're open early which suits if I need something to bring to work. Note that their door is just around the corner from Paw Spa. It's easy to miss.
I have not tried their cake donuts, yet, though I really love the airy texture of the originals. I bought a half-dozen to celebrate someone's retirement today. I also grabbed an unfilled maple donut for myself during the commute to work. I tend to avoid sugar (especially in the morning), but these are not overly sweet like a lot of places that will bake novelty items. I will definitely be coming back for more!
I had high hopes for Sunrise Donuts as I believed the reviews that said it was a hidden gem. It was not. Besides an incredibly friendly employee, I have little good to say. I bought three donuts and it cost shy of eight dollars. They were dry and flaky. I decided to take my daughters here over going to Kwik Trip, and I regretted it. Gas station donuts are far superior to the experience I had here. I knew choices would be limited because I got there around 9:30 in the morning, but there was still an entire top rack of donuts. We sat at a booth to eat. It was kind of gross, and I live with toddlers. The walls are smeared with mystery substances or long gone donut fillings. The restroom that I popped into to wet a napkin to clean up my kids and the table was straight out of a roadside horror movie. I'm upset Google recommended I go here upon searching donuts in Burnsville.
Wow these are AMAZING donuts. Totally fulfilled my pregnancy craving!!! The regular raised donut was soft and amazing. Will be back.
Very good selection of pastries. Very delicious! Will be back again!
