About Maid-Rite

Maid-Rite is an old cafe with good service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The parking lot can sometimes be full, but spots are usually available. The restaurant has a nostalgic charm and serves fast, tasty meals with a side of humor. They are famous for their Maid Rites, a must-try dish made with chopped ground beef, special seasoning, onions, pickles, and mustard on a soft bun. The friendly staff and amazing pies make this spot a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The diner offers a small-town atmosphere, and the food is often described as incredible, with some saying the pies are better than others in the area. Though the Maid Rites may be a bit more expensive and larger than some other places, the flavor is generally enjoyed. It is a popular place for those passing through, and many visitors plan to come back for another slice of pie or to try the Maid Rites. As a small diner, there might be a wait, but most agree it is worth it. No credit cards are accepted, so customers are advised to bring cash.

Tiny little diner with INCREDIBLE food, small town atmosphere & kindness. Fast service. Better pies than Betty's Pies up in Two Harbors. We head out of town tomorrow but will swing by on our way for another slice or two to bring home!

Cute little diner, friendly staff, amazingly delicious food!!

Hubby had the maid rite sundae and I had an everything omelet. Both were excellent. It's a 90 minute drive but we'll be back!
