Top tier food and service. They are so nice here! They were patient with us while we figured out what our party wanted. Very generous portions and we happily accepted the bananas at the end of our meal!
Recommend carry out only. There isn't really a dining room.

Had a wonderful meal & the service was outstanding. Bummed that the more exotic items were sold out (camel & goat) but next time we will just get there earlier!
Plan for take out & you won't be disappointed!

Food was delicious, but I would not recommend eating at the restaurant as it looks a bit dingy. Get the take out/delivery and it's fantastic.

Delicious food and great service!

We ordered the sports tray with beef suqaar and coconut chicken. I’d highly recommend both dishes. Both were delicious, and the flavors complemented each other nicely. The portion sizes were generous. Was able to prepare 3 plates like the one pictured with plenty of the rice and noodles left over and salad not even included. Such a great deal!

We also got some sambusas and buur. Both of which were delightful.

I’ll definitely be back!

First time trying Somali food, and it was fantastic! We had both the camel and goat platters. Service was outstanding and our waiter gave us great recommendations on dishes to try. We were also pleasantly surprised by the soup, coffee and salad that's part of every meal. Delicious lentil soup. Highly recommend!

LOVE IT!

As a white man, I have to resist the urge to describe this restaurant as authentic (though it feels incredibly so).

My order is the goat with spiced rice, and it is...

Sanaag Restaurant delivers an excellent dining experience. The menu offers authentic Somali cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. Dishes such as the sambusas and chicken with rice are consistently well-prepared and served in generous portions. The staff provides attentive service, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable.

A highly recommended choice for anyone seeking quality Somali food and professional service.

Good food but very bad customer service they don’t know how to treat people or even take orders also there place is very small and can’t even serve people just because you guys have good food doesn’t mean you guys can treat people in a bad way. I really hope they get better services

Staff was very nice, and they helped explain the menu to me too (It was my first time having Somali food.). The food was good! The tea was too. No regrets; I'd go back!
It's kinda similar to Ethiopian food. The biggest difference in what I had was that Somalis use a more-conventional flatbread instead of injera. I actually like the Somali version better.
