I drive over 30 minutes to try out Sanag restaurant, specifically for their sports platter. Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into frustration.Once reaching home, I opened the sports platter only to realize it was way too spicy for my taste buds and had to discard it. Disappointed, I called the owner, Ali, to express my concern. To my surprise, instead of offering a solution, he suggested that I drive back to the restaurant for a remake.Arriving at the restaurant, Ali decided to charge me the full price for the replacement platter, even though I had already paid for the initial one. There was no offer to refund my money or provide any discounts, leaving me feeling unfairly treated.The lack of understanding and customer service at Sanag Restaurant was disheartening. I strongly advise others to consider an alternative dining options where customer satisfaction is a priority.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The service was amazing and the food was great. I had not tried Somali food before, but I am very glad I did. The woman who took our order was very helpful and even showed us what some of the dishes looked like before we ordered. The portions were large, which made them perfect for sharing, and all the food had incredible flavor. We ended up trying the Camel-meat special, which was tender and well seasoned. If you are in the area, I suggest giving this place a try.
Had camel meat for the first time (well had camel burger somewhere else before but was meh ?)We ordered the camel meat on top of a bed of rice. The Somali rice was as good as any other Somali rice you'd get in an Eastern African restaurant in the Twin Cities area.But the star of the show was the camel meat. It was really tender and full of flavor. I will definitely go back there to have it again and try their other dishes .Make sure to order their Maraq which is their soup.The Somali tea wasn't so good.
This was some of the most amazing food we've ever had. The owner and employees were so friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to order, and everything we ate was a 10 out of 10. Our favorite was the beef suquaar and the chicken kutilati. And the beef sambusas were to die for. Seriously cannot recommend this place enough!

Really some wonderful flavors in the dishes we tried. Soup was hearty and comforting with just the right spicy level. Coconut chicken was great to balance out the heat of the spicy rice.
