We went for lunch. One server. My choices for gluten-free were few. Got the nachos, which are usually safe. They were good but the serving size was huge for 1 person and you couldn't get half an order. I wouldn't usually mind a huge serving, but nachos do not reheat well, so it was a waste of food.

Friday fish fry was highly recommended. Batter was light and crispy. But could not tell if it was dark from the beer or possibly over-cooked. Fries were crisp and salted. I will recommend this place to anyone interested in trying out a small local restaurant while in Cannon Falls. Great place to meet up halfway between Rochester and the Cities.

Went for a special event, so we were in the private room. The room's atmosphere needs some work. It was very cold (not temperature) and lacked personality. There were just random things store there.

Everyone else seemed to enjoy the buffet-style food, but my host special ordered me a vegetarian option. I was a bit disappointed by the alfredo; I could tell it was a jarred sauce. Which, ok, I'm not at an Italian place, but alfredo is a dish on the regular menu, and I just requested without chicken. The cook tried, and was very nice as he came to ask my preference for other veggies in it, so props there. In general, the service was good and the waitress attentive.

Vegetarian options: Not really any vegetarian options, aside from asking for things without meat.

Service was fantastic. Our service was very quick and personable - yet she was waiting on the entire bar! (& it was full). We had a table of 4. Every one of us asked her for recommendations & we also asked her to adjust the air..
Nothing seemed too much for her she took everything in stride & kept smiling.
All 4 of us enjoyed our meals and said we would return.

Stopped in while traveling through the area. Very busy, but attentive service. Great wings and cocktails! Met some locals and had great conversation.

Great restaurant with historical details

Parking: Eat ice cream down the street for dessert. Not saying the desserts are bad here. But ice cream is 6 stars

We loved it and the food was exemplary however service was slow. Not for the food. We sat at the bar and just getting a drink at an almost empty bar was difficult. The employees were talking to each other and we had to interrupt them to ask for a drink and menus. Other than that. I will be back. Maybe an off day?

It looks like an ordinary bar and grill in a small Minnesota town, but our dinner there was exceptional. Also, the owner/server gave us a friendly, helpful diningexperience that should be a standard for any restaurant. I definitely recommend a relaxing meal at Mill Street Tavern if you find yourself in Cannon Falls. Since it is a scenic spot beside the Cannon River and the bike trail, Cannon Falls really is a place you might find yourself.
