We had the most fun dinner for our Parents Night Out at Tequila Butcher! So many laughs and the staff went above and beyond, and even graciously heckled and fulfilled the requests from our friend who ordered a “tequila water” and “sour cream and cheddar cheese”

We visited the first time to celebrate my new job! I’d heard there was a speak easy and decided to investigate. How cool! A tiki bar hidden in the back.

Nikolina was our server/bartender and she was fantastic. Service was excellent and the food tasted delicious. The presentation of the drinks was dreamy. We recommend the Torta & Ramen if you’re hungry! We also loved the playlist - every tune was such a bop.

We can’t wait to return! Thanks for making our night special and one to remember, TB! ✨??

Cute restaurant and environment. The food was nothing to write home about and overpriced.

Ryan greeted us right when we walked in, seated us and was our waiter. He was just amazing, food was delicious.
Was just at Paisley Park so it was a no brainer to stop there.
You should definitely come up with a drink called Purple Rain.
This is a must to stop in for great food and amazing service. Ask for Ryan!!

The food was bland. We had brussel sprouts, chicken tingas, brisket, and carnitas tacos, and the esquites. None of them had any flavor. Very disappointing. I would not recommend Tequila Butcher to anyone interested in flavor.

TL;DR: The worst dining experience we’ve had since the before times.

We visited on a recent Saturday night and immediately encountered iffy service – three servers walked by the host stand and told us someone would be right there. The rest of the night did not go much better. Our server was working at the bar as well as our section and was distracted much of the time. He forgot to bring out our appetizer, which was later removed from our tab by a manager. We ordered a mezcal flight and when that arrived sans worm salt we inquired why; he told us they were out (something that would have been nice to know when we ordered, since that's part of the experience). When we asked for some kosher salt as a replacement he looked as if we’d asked him to immediately build the Parthenon out of matchsticks and was visibly annoyed.

Against our intuition we ordered the mushroom risotto off the specials menu, which tasted like it was from a box and for some reason had tomato chunks in it – it honestly seemed like a parts-bin meal that the kitchen threw together with whatever produce was about to go bad. It was overcooked and poorly seasoned, the scallops were fishy in an unappetizing way, and the whole dish was just weird. Adding insult to injury our server came by when we were just about finished picking at the sad risotto, clearly aware of his earlier failings, and silently gave us a huge goofy grin and two thumbs up as if to ask, “It’s good, right???” It was possibly the most uncomfortable dining moment I’ve ever had – until a few minutes later.

We’d asked for our check and were done eating when our server approached with the water pitcher. I declined, saying I didn’t need any more. Our server proceeded to fill my glass and patronizingly tell me that, “It’s just water! Have some.” I’d asked not to be given more water because I knew I wasn’t going to finish it all and didn’t want it to get dumped out. We might not have a shortage of water here or now, but that future is definitely on the horizon. My preferences aside, the way our server acted was rude, wasteful, and completely uncalled for. It was the epitome of cringe.

We haven’t had great meals here previously but decided to give it another chance. After this experience I can guarantee we will never be back.

Disappointing. Started with Large ice in small glass for house drinks. I’m a one drink person and I barely felt the alcohol.

Both entrees came out just warm and even after sending my basket back it came out just warm. Both our entrees lacked flavor and Brisket was very fatty.

On the plus side: Burgers at other tables looked great. Bartender’s service was terrific. Tables are big and spacious.

Probably better for large groups of friends for shots, beer & burger or other non-entree dishes.

Been here multiple times, and always had great friendly service from the bartender and manager on duty! Excellent drinks and yummy food, along with a very cool vibey atmosphere! And more tequila options than anywhere! Definitely recommend!

A sister restaurant with Whiskey Inferno which lives up to the hype. Drinks were amazing, food was spot on. Ordered the paella and was not disappointed. Mussels were perfect, rice was the right texture...no way any left overs were happening. Service was excellent providing both recommendations as well as great knowledge of the dishes we were getting. Highly recommend checking this place out.

Our server, Greta was a sweetheart, very personable and warm, the best part of our visit to Tequila Butcher. We ordered an Old fashioned, the nachos, Texas twinkies and the brisket burger. Our food came out before our drinks, which tasted watered down and the man who ran our drinks to our table seemed irked. The nachos came out cold with the queso congealed and the chips stale, which was disappointing. The Texas twinkies can be skipped. The presentation was unappetizing to say the least. The brisket burger was one confusing and out of ratio bite after the other, another skip. The prices are high for mediocre food. Overall a very disappointing dining experience, minus our wonderful server. We left the restaurant still hungry and stopped at Culver’s on the way home. I would not recommend Tequila Butcher.
