The people here work HARD and are SO KIND! They even replaced my shake when I dropped it. And it’s the best place to take the kids so they can play on their playground while waiting for food. We love Gordy’s!

We stopped on our way to ely. The food was amazing. Our group had burgers, malts and the fish and chips. I can honestly say it was the best fish I’ve had!!! Would definitely recommend Gordys!!!

The fish sandwich was pretty good, but I would come back for the fries and chocolate malt. Great shoestring fries and the malt was exactly how I like! The music was also perfect, 50s & 60s oldies.

Gordy's is a classic! As a special stop to or from "up North", or just because you want it, this experience is worth the stop. Great burgers, rings and fries, good malts, and a throw-back atmosphere! Side note: The cheese curds aren't worth it, IMHO.

The service is friendly and speedy. The atmosphere has a typical diner feel, though the building could use a little love and cosmetic updates. That said, they have an entire area outside that's new to me, where you can eat under cover in case of inclement weather, there's an entire separate building for bathrooms, and they really do seem to love the patrons who visit. My food was okay, I had a chicken burger and it didn't taste much like anything, no seasoning, but it was hot and tasted fresh. The fries won us over for sure, they were fresh, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside - I'd go back for the fries alone. Last time I went, I had a beef burger, I remember it having a bit more flavour, but that was a while ago. No matter what, whenever I come back to Minnesota, I will visit Gordy's Hi-Hat again and again.
