The only reason I gave 2 stars for the food is because, through no fault of the establishment, our chicken was extremely over cooked. The sad part is, they are short staffed. Another excellent restaurant “falling apart” because of staff shortage. Local restaurants are starting to disappear. I still love Sammy’s!! I sure hope they can get the staff they deserve.

Tried to take my mom out for lunch because she loves Sammy's. We sat and waited for a server for 15 minutes with no acknowledging we were there. Got up to leave and the server apologized for not helping us, which was odd. If she would have at least asked for drink orders, we might have stayed. We were two people, and when you see tables of 4 or more everywhere, it's a good bet you won't get the same service. Larger tips on larger tables...

I recently had the opportunity to try Sammy's Pizza, which claims to be the best pizza in Minnesota. However, I must admit that my experience was rather underwhelming. When it comes to pizza, I have high expectations, especially when a place boasts such a prestigious title. Unfortunately, Sammy's Pizza fell short in terms of flavor and quality. The pizza I had was disappointingly mediocre, resembling something closer to cafeteria pizza rather than an exceptional dining experience. One of the biggest letdowns was the crust. It lacked the desired crispness and seemed rather doughy. A good pizza crust should have a perfect balance of chewiness and crispness, but Sammy's Pizza missed the mark on this aspect. Moreover, the sauce on the pizza was also quite disappointing. It lacked depth and flavor, leaving the overall taste of the pizza rather bland. A good sauce is the foundation of a great pizza, and unfortunately, Sammy's Pizza failed to deliver in this regard. Given the abundance of pizza options available in Minnesota, I find it hard to understand how Sammy's Pizza managed to win the title of best pizza. There are plenty of other pizzerias in the area that offer superior quality and flavorsome pizzas. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Sammy's Pizza based on my experience. The pizza I had was mediocre, with a lackluster crust and disappointing sauce. If you're looking for a truly exceptional pizza, I suggest exploring other options in Minnesota that are known for their outstanding flavors and quality.

Ordered sausage, mushroom, green pepper today. Very meager amount of any of it. Yes the sausage is very good. But will stay with VIP for a better bang for the buck. Are you listening VIP? Open up a shop in cloquet.

Sammy's is my favorite place to go for pizza in Cloquet. I do wish that they would bring back their buffet that they had before Covid.
Sammy's never fails. Been going here for years as part of a tradition. Mike and crew treated my dad well and even had a make-believe golfers pizza ready for him regularly! Awesome service, delicious pizza, comfortable atmosphere! I will continue the tradition with new people, thanks Sammy's!

The day we dined the menu was cut due to lack of staff....the waitress was fantastic and our pizza was fabulous...we had a family half and half...my son ordered 5 Cheese ? and my husband chose Bacon Cheeseburger...he loves the pickles....We went for pizza but a full menu would've been nice...others have said the day they went it was a full menu.

Staff did great for how busy it was! The jalapeño poppers were super delicious and filled perfectly! The pizza (cheeseburger) was okay. Needs to have way more sauce on it, and more pickles would have been good too.

The only complaint is to please mark specialty pizza. We ordered a gluten-free pizza, and I should have tried them out to see which one it was first.. I did not do that.Sammy's was busy, and I was busy too. Please mark future boxes for customers, especially gluten free.Thank you.
