Great service and food was terrific. I believe there was a change with staff in recent years, cause this place was excellent. Had chicken sandwich, Gouda mac n cheese and burger. Family all gave 5-stars on the food and vibes of Manhattan beach lodge.

I ate supper there and the best food I have had in a long time. Great girls weekend. My prime rib was awesome.

We are regulars at Manhattans. It never disappoints. We always feel like valued customers, especially when Fred, the manager is on duty! He truly makes you feel like a valued customer, which is unusual at most of the restaurants around here. My husband and I both had the Wednesday New York strip special, Can’t be beat! They also have a super wine deal that night as well up to 50% off per bottle. Again, Manhattan’s personifies hospitality. And the sunsets are the best there as well!

Well behaved dogs are welcome here. The staff was very kind to my dog, while we dined on the on the patio.

I wish I could give this place 6/5 stars because I had the most amazing experience booking and staying here. I had to change my reservation a few times and Becky was able to accommodate any changes I had in a matter of minutes and she was so helpful throughout the booking process. The room I stayed in had just been renovated and it was so nice!! The bed was magical and the view of the lake was incredible. It was nice and quiet throughout my stay and so close to everything (less than 5 min drive to all of crosslake). The complimentary breakfast in the morning was so lovely as well and well stocked with a great variety. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this spot for your next vacation!

My wife and I had the Wed night steak special. The steak was 1/2 inch thick, full of grizzle and tasteless. It was served with cold mashed potatoes and cold asparagus. We will never try this one again. Definitely not worth the $20. The Management should try this meal and try to improve it.

We had dinner outdoors. We were seated immediately. No one came to our table to serve us until the manager came by. We sat for atleast 10 minutes. We had dinner and then were informed by the server that we needed to leave in 5-10 minutes because they needed the table. I had just ordered a second glass of wine. Very rude and inconsiderate to make us wait and then order us to leave before we had finished dining.

We didn’t stay at the hotel as it is under renovation, but we had dinner at their restaurant. I thought it was a very welcoming place, the staff was really friendly and it had a nice atmosphere. Our food was served in an appropriate amount of time, and was delicious. Jen was our server and she was very attentive. Thank you for a lovely dinner.

Great views of the lake, but dinner was terrible. Order the Legendary Walleye dinner, wild rice was cold and clumpy. Broiled walleye tasted like it was cooked in a microwave and and over cooked, rubbery, not worth the price.

Eat anywhere but here. We ordered walleye. It came barely warm and you could tell it was pulled out of a box and microwaved. It had so fresh smell or taste. The rice was dry and cold. Terribly ovrpriced

Didn't stay in the lodge. But Dined with several friends in the Restaurant. I gave the food a 5 star it was cooked perfectly. Serving sizes were more than enough. Price range 15 to 40ish a plate. We were with about 15 friends, food came out quickly and served in a timely manner so no one was left waiting for their food while others were done.

Terrible experience! Our dinner experience was horrible! There were black flies so plentiful we spent the entire meal trying unsuccessfully to keep them from landing on our food. There were at least a dozen large black flies around our table constantly landing on our food, not just one or two. Our server agreed "they have been terrible lately." When a management staff person came she also agreed the flies were a problem but stated "I don't know what I can do about it." I wonder what the food was exposed to in the kitchen before it came to our table! I think the staff there had normalized the situation with the flies and were unconcerned with their presence. They seemed unconcerned when I sent our food back uneaten and the bill charged a full price for the meal. On reviewing my bill two days later we discovered we had been charged $80 for two prime rib meals we didn't receive. The server told us after ordering the prime rib that they would not be ready for at least 40 minutes, so we changed our order but never received the prime ribs. (We were also charged for the replacement meals we ordered but had returned due to flies landing on them!) If the staff had this attitude about food safety for flies in public parts of their business, I suspect they have equally little regard for sanitary practices in less noticeable parts of the restaurant where food is prepared!

Up north for the holiday weekend and stopped by this place. Great view of the lake (Crosslake area).l and and nice patio eating space that joins to the boat dock. They only having seating outdoors which is nice however you can wait inside for a seat and they have a bar you can order from while you wait. The waitress was very nice and funny and helped with the selection I made. I started with an old fashion which was made very well 4.5 out of 5 stars for the drink. I wasn't too hungry so I asked if I can just have risotto which I saw was a side dish with various meals, and a side salad. The waitress said of course and I ordered the bourbon and mushroom risotto and salad. My friend ordered walleye with mashed potatoes and asparagus. While waiting for the food I sipped on the lovely old fashion and took in the view. The food arrived and the risotto looked kind of pale and didn't have mushrooms. Asked the waitress about it, she checked and found that indeed they sent out just plain risotto. It was good but not what I ordered. She placed another order for the right kind. I tasted the walleye and me and my friend both agreed that it was nothing to write home about kind of plain. The correct bourbon and mushroom risotto came out and it was even better than the plain version. Overall the food was hit and miss. Risotto was good the walleye was plain but the old fashion took front stage. I would recommend stopping in and giving them a try.
