Anchor North on Lake Alexander

Party of 8 on vacation. Pad Thai was bowl of peanut butter wallpaper glue. Cheese curds burnt beyond recognition.walleye & fries were cooked in obviously well-used oil.veg sandwich was white bread, 1 slice of cheese, few mushrooms. Rest of food was equally awful. Went home with indigestion & a couple of people ill during night. Just don’t eat here.

Great spot on Lake Alexander!

Anchor North is such a fun place to eat. The lakeside setting is beautiful, and the food is delicious and they have a variety of options and cater to different dietary needs.
What really stands out is the staff—mostly college kids who work so hard and are so friendly. It’s awesome seeing them run around and create such a welcoming vibe.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

We are local. We eat out often and rarely complain. There was entertainment which was awesome! Chicken wings and dinner salad were really good. My husbands blackened pasta dish was not blackened and the creamy sauce was a flavorless paste. We told the waitress right away and she told us she wasn't surprised because it was a new menu. No offer to get a new dish or remedy the problem. My Pad Thai was a very sweet soupy mess with some peanut dust on it. More like sweet peanut flavored noodle soup. Not happy. We so wanted to love this place. The 3 stars are for the entertainment and the chicken wings.

Loved our visit to Anchor North!
This spot in Cushing has it all—delicious food, a stunning lake view, and a laid-back, welcoming vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, and our bartender Vanessa was especially great. She made us feel right at home and had the best drink recommendations. Perfect place to relax, enjoy the view, and have a great meal. We’ll definitely be back!

There are also so many fun drinks to try. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, making it a great atmosphere for your next outing.

We brought the whole family to Anchor North and it was such a special time. The food was amazing, the staff was so kind and patient, and the lake view gave us all a chance to slow down and really enjoy each other. This is the kind of place you want to come back to over and over again.

We are local and normally LOVE this place and visit often. We definitely will not be back with summer staff. Insanely rude, burnt food and then when remade said “this is as light as I can make it” and it’s even more burnt 🤣 definitely felt intentional. We had to laugh this off as it was so ridiculous. We asked the waiter if she would eat it and she even said no. Super disappointed as this was my fav place and now I don’t know if I can bring myself to return knowing they hire staff that treat people that way.

Great... Different menu items than the norm of most places. Unique may be a better term but most certainly worth the visit. Awesome surroundings, little crowded on the weekends. Larger groups wouldn't hurt to call in a spot few days in advance. Then again that helps one realize how excellent this place is. Great staff and super location. Can even bring your boat... Over the water that is. See you there. Smiles for miles!
