Anchor North on Lake Alexander

Great... Different menu items than the norm of most places. Unique may be a better term but most certainly worth the visit. Awesome surroundings, little crowded on the weekends. Larger groups wouldn't hurt to call in a spot few days in advance. Then again that helps one realize how excellent this place is. Great staff and super location. Can even bring your boat... Over the water that is. See you there. Smiles for miles!

Ate there Sunday evening (03/09/25). Had the prime rib dinner. I would say the prime rib was the best tasting prime rib I have eaten. The restaurant was clean and the view of the lake was awesome.

There was A Cannabis event out on the lake in front of this place when I went. There was disc golf, fishing, vendors all on ice a lot event fun, hope to see more like this

The Broaster chicken was ordered, I could hear the crispy skin from the other side of the table and he said he didn’t have to salt it at all. Win. Basic chicken sandwich was ordered, fine as expected. Carbonara looked wonderful, the diner was to drunk to appreciate it, I would order it on looks alone. Pizza…toppings were great but the crust was a bummer.
My cocoa braised short rib.
I was expecting a pull apart with your fork tender…and it was really bad. I’ve never seen a short rib that looked like this, more like a chop with a blade style bone. Tougher than my mom. I showed our server as I struggled to even stab the steak knife in. (Also, if you try it, have the glaze on the side so you can control how much is on)The waitress kindly took it away and I ordered their steak sandwich. Amazing. Bread was soft but didn’t fall apart. It was so good. Wont get the short rib or pizza next time. But, will go back for sure!

The Philly cheese steak and Philly burger were delicious! As always, excellent service.

Great place to hit up for delicious food, friendly service. Lots of TVs for Vikings games. Really good Bloody Mary and fantastic chicken nachos. 5 stars!

I definitely would have given a 5 star review a few weeks ago. Brought friends there on Saturday as we were raving about the food we had 3 weeks earlier. It wasn't as busy as when we were there before. Waitress had a number of tables, took a bit to get over to ask for drinks as well drinks to arrive. We ordered our food salad and soup came out a bit later. But all entrees took a really long time only to find out there was a problem with the Halibut, which it held up 3 of the entrees. I said to please bring out their food, I will have the walleye. Two of the entrees were dried out as i am sure it was under a warmer and one that ordered shrimp in her tortellini had none. The walley didn't even look like what we had 3 weeks ago, which is the reason we recommended the restaurant to our friends. We all left very disappointed as we couldn't believe that spent over 2 hours primarly just waiting for our food. I even shortened the time listed.

We were seated promptly as we entered the restaurant. It took our server Megan, a while to come to the table and she apologized right away, saying she was covering a lot of tables. After returning with our beverages, she took off in another direction to Serve Some Tables. She finally returns after 15 minutes to take our orders and explain the specials to us. We ordered our food and She returned About a 1/2 hour later. claiming one of our dinners We had ordered, they were out of. My wife ordered shrimp tortellonni with no shrimp on it. One of the walleye fillets , was overcooked Another steak dinner must have been under the heat lamp for a while. I would say 2 out of 5 meals were prepared properly. We arrived at 6:03 PM. Finally departed after 8 o'clock.l

Great place to enjoy an evening on Lake Alex. Love the new outdoor set up. Staff is the best! Food generous and good.

We stopped here 4 times while staying nearby on Lake Alexander. A couple times by car and a couple by boat. You can pull right up and park the boat. It has a nice patio. They had a good selection of beers, including some craft. The drinks were good. We had cheese curds, soup, salad, nachos, jerk on a stick, burgers, etc... all were tasty. The only thing I didn't like was the street corn. They did say in the description that they use baby corn but I didn't like the flavor either. To be fair though I love elote and so was hoping for something like that when we ordered. It was awesome having a great place so close to our cabin.
