Had a great time this past weekend in Detroit Lakes and decided to walk down the street to eat at Lakeside. Great atmosphere, service and food. Was very impressed with the service considering how busy it was. They were also very accommodating to a gluten allergy we had in our group. Will definitely visit again when in town!
5 stars for the garlic cheese hoagie. The marinara that comes along with it is arguably the best marinara I've ever had. Best thing on the menu. $18 is pretty pricey for only one burger patty but the burgers are alright. The place always leaves their doors open so be prepared to deal with flies, and also it's a find your own seat kind of restaurant.. two things to look out for. Fairly large patio for outdoor dining. Inside dining room has quite a few tables and they can also open sections of the wall that lead to the patio. So if the weather is nice this is a good spot for lunch or dinner.
