We hosted an event here for roughly 60-70 people. Lilli was amazing to work with in planning the event, she made it seamless and very easy to get everything organized. The night of the event staff was all very helpful and friendly. Guests raved about the food quality and choices that were selected. I cannot recommend this team and venue enough!

We went to Blackwaters after a REA3D event. It was extremely busy, yet Hannah was attentive, kind and delightful. Hannah took great care ensuring that we were well taken care of and checked in on us frequently (even though she was busy). We so appreciated Hannah. I have consistently had excellent service with great servers and wonderful beverages and food. I love Blackwaters! Thank you!

I love you guys so I’m giving you five stars but you need to bring back your discounted martinis ( on a regular Basis ) . Pre-2020 you guys always always had $6 martinis 4:00-6:00 and excellent happy hour specials. Bring back the specials !! Give us a reason to come back . Thank you!!

Website claims to be upscale establishment with jazz. No live music, no jazz. Food ok. Fee for using credit card. At the prices they charge it is already padded in for the cost of cc fees. Businesses should have to let customers know before the bill they are charging a fee for cc.

It is a very nice place. Well-appointed and has live lounge music on designated times. The lounge music was wonderful and created incredible ambiance. It is pricey, I was a bit discouraged to find that the five-dollar Martini happy hour special was bar pour Philips vodka. I have not tried the food, but I have heard that it is fantastic. It is a very relaxed atmosphere and low-key place to leave the day behind. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Next time I will go for the food, and not the happy hour special. LOL but all in all, it was a wonderful experience and very relaxing. The only thing I would add is the fact that the bar is lit from underneath and it kind of makes people look like they're all in a scary movie or ghostly. In that respect, it was kind of like going to the bar and the Stephen King story and movie The Shining. Definitely check it out and make your own decision.

A Duluth downtown staple for cocktails (and mock tails). Since reopening the food menu has gotten smaller. We split edamame and spinach and artichoke dip. Both were a little cold. Our server was very attentive. For being closed for so long I expected more updates.

Great martini bar. Old world supper club vibes. Their menu used to have more variety but now limited to small bites. This time around we just stopped by for drinks. Lillie the GM must be hardest working GM ever. Superior customer service, and helping the staff all around. Justin one of the bartenders is so creative and knows how to create an amazing Martini! You must try the Blind Squirrel or the chocolate covered cherry martini! So delicious!!! Love this place!

I would give it zero stars if possible. Sat down in the bar, waited a while (15 minutes) and nobody came to take an order. Bartender looked directly at me so I know we weren’t invisible. I had such high hopes as the decor was lovely. The manager (I’m assuming) wished us a good night and I told him we weren’t waited on and his response was “oh”’.

I only sat at the bar, have not dined in the restaurant. I can tell you the bartender we had was great as was the general manager (Lilli?). The drinks were wonderfully made. Nice live jazz music that night as well. Perfect volume. The food menu is very limited at the bar and I cannot comment on it since my food order never came. It was a mixup and the GM made it right by us. I'll be back next time I'm in town

Us gals checked out Blackwater for the first time since the reopen. So glad we did! We each started out with a signature drink. I did the "Pool Boy" which was a mango, pineapple & habanero mix. Delicious and went down fast. Moved on to my old standby, dirty gin martini, extra dirty. Mmmmmm, how I missed those so! Next we went for some food. The app menu is pretty limited, but all food came out excellent. A friend and I shared the fondue for two, which I used to love there back in the day. Same deliciousness now. Other friends had the sliders and spring rolls. I didn't try any, but they said they were all very tasty. I hope this place is visited more by the locals, because it really is a gem of a place. Service was great too!!
