Food was decent but not spectacular, service was okay though they seem to be short-staffed, atmosphere was a little noisy. The most disappointing thing was, the walleye fillet that was served as part of their fish and chips, was a decent size but came with a tiny cup of tartar sauce that in no universe would be enough sauce. When I asked for an extra cup, which was between 1 and 2 tablespoons, they actually charged me for it. For a $26 fish and chips they should serve sufficient sauce for the fish, and at a minimum not charge you for an extra 2 tablespoons of tartar sauce. Out of principle this was certainly disappointing.

2 stars for the 3 of the 4 ordered items that reached us via DoorDash. We ordered today for the stuffed tots and that’s what didn’t get to us. DoorDash gave us a refund for the food cost but not the dissatisfaction of missing out on stuff tots tonight. No joke, those tots are good. The lobster bisque and wild rice sandwich were good too. The vegan pasta is a little bland. DoorDash menu did not give the option from the restaurant for the pasta dish to sub mushrooms that we don’t eat. I’d recommend the restaurant provide substitution options on DoorDash. Order number #67 with the names Miley and manager Evan written on the ticket. Disappointed.

I've frequented the Two Harbors Blackwoods for years, but this was my first Duluth experience. I actually liked the menu at the Duluth location quite a bit more and the location itself is beautiful. My steak medallions and the salmon dish my girlfriend got were both cooked perfectly and delicious. Unfortunately the service did not match the food and atmosphere. Brandon, the bartender seemed to be doing his best, but also had a look of being overwhelmed most the time. I didn't see the other bartender or barback do anything the whole time and we never once saw a manager. Nobody asked how our food was until we were asking for boxes. Weren't asked if we wanted another drink. Overall, for spending $100 for two entrees and two beers the level of service was greatly lacking. Will be back to try some more delicious food because I was truly blown away by the medallions, but I really hope the service is stepped up.

Black Woods Grill always serves up delicious food with wonderful service. They also have the best wild rice burger in town, which comes with their amazing Agate sauce!
Food was very good . Very busy was able to get a reservation and hour and half before we went. Took a long time to get our drinks. Told it was very busy in the bar.

We had a great first time experience at the Two Harbors location this wk! We ordered take out and the wait was worth it! Fresh and hot food and decent prices too. The corn bread was amazing!!! We will definitely be back!!
