We love Black Woods Grill, the Duluth location is slightly better, partly because of the view of Lake Superior. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. We have gone there numerous time, it rapidly became our favorite place.

Drive from the cities for a birthday party and disappointed with the food. Had the broiled walleye baked potato was cold and carrots were not cooked. My daughter had the prime rib dip and the sauce was served in a metal measuring cup! Won’t dine there again.

My love for Blackwoods isn’t diminished by my experience with the steak and vegetable soup but you should be embarrassed by the Campbell soup lookalike you are serving as “home made”, hand cut beef and vegetable soup!

I take my mom here every time she visits Duluth! She loves the cheese curds. Tonight we both ordered wings, I had the Thai chili and she had bar b que. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is awesome along with great service. Definitely a great spot for your special occasion

Steak was ok, green beans were cold, mashed potatoes were really good. Service was excellent. Only thing that made me mad was that I paid $6 for a shiitake mushroom side that was clearly undercooked baby Bella mushrooms with raw onion on top. Didn’t even closely resemble what was pictured in the menu. They were so raw the mushroom and onion were still cold in the middle…and it wasn’t shiitake2024 update. Gave restaurant another try…same cold, likely day old food. Save your money.

Had the corned beef and cabbage from the Irish menu for St. Patrick's. It was amazing, so tender. Not your typical corned beef and cabbage!

Honestly, it is the best place ever since we visited here in Duluth. Food was phenomenal! Our server was Evan, and he was amazing. I had some food allergies and had specific questions and he did an amazing job and went and doubled checked for me. They also have a lot of options for vegetarian and vegan options , and that alone made it amazing. The atmosphere was super calm and nice and again food and service was phenomenal!

We came up from the cities to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had the top sirloin, my wife had the ribeye, both were fantastic! We discovered Blackwoods 4 years ago, we love this place!

Something for EVERYONE! I had the London Road Burger which is EASILY one of the best I've ever had in my life. My mom got a steak which was incredible as well. And then you got their cocktails and desserts which were just phenomenal. Highly recommend the Wave of Passion Chocolate Cake and the Lemon Cake! Our service was perfect too. Drinks and food came out very quickly. We will be coming here every time we come up north!!!

I had my book launch/signing party (for my book Suck Less at Love: “She Said, He Said Advice on Relationships”) in the back room that has all the windows that overlook Lake Superior.I love Black Woods! They’re always so good to me. We had our own server for the event, and he made sure all of my guests had what they needed, he checked in with me continuously throughout my event, and Kristy the manager was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.I’d definitely recommend Black Woods for your event or even for dinner. I’m never disappointed there, and the food and service are top notch ?If you’re in Duluth, this restaurant is a must visit!Parking: I don’t go to any restaurants in Duluth unless parking is convenient, and Black Woods has a great parking lot.
