I was dissatisfied with the experience, I use to go to the Blue Max often for dinner and drinks but I haven't been there since 2020. 8/30/2025 I decided to go and could not believe how terrible the place has become. Dirty windows and sills and unfortunately for me the outfit i was wearing was ruined by sitting on a seat that had been tapped, the tape was coming loose and the stickiness stuck to my outfits ass. The find was over cooked , waitress kept apologizing for everything being so slow. They were not even full. Not the place it used to be. The view was the only thing worth the drive.

We sat down, but server after server walked right past us, ignoring the fact that we didn’t have drinks or menus. After about half an hour, we finally managed to flag someone down. Instead of bringing us menus herself, she directed another girl to do it. That girl clearly wasn’t interested in serving, as she dropped the menus on the table and quickly turned away, making us feel like we were a bother. We ordered a couple of appetizers; one was fine, but the other was mostly toppings with very few tater tots underneath. The Bloody Mary was disappointing, with an odd taste and a meat stick that was as hard as a rock. Overall, we would not recommend going here for service or food.
Waitress was attentive, but it was very obvious she didn't really want to be waiting tables. Food was excellent. Atmosphere was great we sat on deck outside by the lake.

We had to go ask anytime we needed something. It's a pretty location but terrible service and low quality food. Traveled from the Iron range after seeing some good reviews but ended up really disappointed.
