I enjoyed the Vegan Socialist Burrito, which is the only labeled vegan option on the menu. I'm happy enough with rice, beans, and veg but as others have pointed out there are no other vegan protein/dairy options. For some reason the tortilla chips are listed as vegetarian on the menu. I couldn't imagine what they might have made them with / fried them in that made them vegetarian but not vegan (butter? But why?) and when I asked, the server said they were vegan. I ordered them; your comfort with this may vary.
Good bones for a fun bar/restaurant, has good beer, but $5 margaritas were no good, food is mediocre, and has way too many TVs.

We came to Burrito Union for the first time this week after living in Duluth for 4 years. Shame on us!!! We split a Rasputin (It is HUGE) and ordered some chips with guac and salsa. Our server Simon was FANTASTIC. Attentive but didn't hover over us. He was fast and very friendly, but not fake friendly. The food was PERFECT. The burrito was very flavorful and it tasted fresh which is a biggie for us. The chips were probably the best chips I've had in Duluth. I know its small but I hate greasy or soggy chips. The salsa was pure perfection. We tried the Garden, Tomatillo, and Salsa Verde salsas and they also tasted wonderful and had the perfect amount of heat. Not bland like most Minnesota salsa, and not OMG I'm sweating to death hot. They do have an option like that, and I'll be trying that next time! My only complaint is that we didn't come here sooner. We'll be regulars now.
The service was excellent and the food delicious 😋 would definitely recommend for a great night out. Very clean and well kept.
Food was amazing!

Multiple veg options including build your own burritos…which are enormous. Good salsa and beer selections too. Definitely a good choice when we’re here for the marathon.
Usually a great spot and will go again. This time service was slow and finally had to get food to go after waiting 45 minutes. This was the first time ever experienced that so hopefully just a one off.
Food was great. Kinda pricey for what you get.

Awesome food!!! My only issue is charging almost $4 for guacamole and all you get is like a tablespoon full.
* we did a phone order for pickup**
An ok experience - the burrito was good - and the meat on it was fabulous, however the online menu didn't list all the ingredients. If I had known my burrito would have corn and lettuce on it, I would have chosen a different one or asked about substitutions/removal.
There was also a slight mishap with a side of guac ending up in the burrito instead on the side, however the staff resolved this quickly and easily.
My biggest complaint, however, was that the $4.80 side of tater tots was waaaay too small. The box looked so sparse that I actually counted - there were only 12 tots. I was hoping that for almost $5 I would be able to share them with someone else, but there weren't even enough tots for one person.
The food is really good but the small issues stacked up and really retracted from the overall meal.

Visiting my niece and she suggested Burrito Union for lunch as it is across the street from her house. Great suggestion. The server was very attentive and pleasant. The margarita was well made, priced well, and tasted great. Our tables food choices included Ultimate Tacos, a chicken quesadilla, and a Buddha bowl. Not one complaint from anyone. We all loved our choices. I personally had the Buddha bowl with carnitas, sweet potatoes, and poblano corn. I wish I lived in Duluth, because I already wish I could have it again. Great experience. Will visit again in a month.
Parking: Street parking is abundant. We were there Labor Day weekend and found parking easily. There is also a free parking lot across the street.

The quality of the food has recently dipped, while the prices just seem to go up. It used to be better.
