We especially, very happily, reminisce on the time spent over Christmas for our food tasting. It was a wedding gift from our parents to cover the food. “Lake Superior Catering was a pleasure to work with. They were timely and really knew what they were doing on the day of the wedding. They got set up for the bar and food on time and efficiently.They offer bartending service and brought all the beer, wine, liquor, mixers, cups, plates, etc so I didn't have to do anything!The food was delicious, we did a taco bar and a gyro bar for a late night snack. Everyone talked about how excellent the food was. The bar service was quick and friendly.The price was very reasonable and I highly recommend working with them!“

“I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Eva is the absolute sweetest person you will ever meet, and the food for our wedding was INCREDIBLE. Everyone was raving about it and said it's the best wedding food they've ever had. The Swedish meatballs were amazing (Eva, if you're reading this and wanna share the recipe, I wouldn't complain haha). They went above and beyond by giving some extra food that we didn't even pay for on our wedding day. Eva is so sweet, seeing her smiling face on our wedding day was honestly a highlight! We looked at and considered almost every caterer in MN (type-A bride here) and this was by far the best option due to the quality of food and low prices. Our favorite vendor we hired, I can't recommend them enough. :)“

“Blackwoods catered my son’s wedding yesterday. Overall we would recommend them, but there were a few glitches. The tablecloths we picked up from them the day before the wedding were the wrong size and, despite being sealed in plastic, there were quite a few set in stains. I phoned and left a message about the issue, and no one bothered to return my call. Not a promising start. On the day of the wedding, the staff arrived on time, and everything was set up and ready to go as planned. For the most part the food was good, but the ham was awful. It was tough and the pieces were cut into huge chunks, many of which were full of fat and gristle. We had people who normally love ham refusing to eat it. Since it was one of the main dishes, the ham was a huge disappointment, especially for the money paid. The turkey, however, was moist and tasty. The staff members were helpful and professional. They willingly boxed up leftovers for the wedding couple, which was much appreciated, and they left the church kitchen clean.“
