The $26.99 AYCE is a great deal. The sushi is fresh and there are many varieties to choose from. The service is also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

FOOD POISONING/SALMONELLA/STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS WARNING! Ordered the Firecracker Roll and California Roll. The Firecracker was bad — the fish tasted old and rancid, eel was slimey, and the peppers inside were absolutely not jalapeños. Whatever they used was extremely hot (at least serrano-level) and had no flavor, hinting at a mislabel on the package.

The California Roll looked like it had been prepped a day or two earlier, and the shrimp had a strong, fishy odor — a clear sign it wasn’t fresh.

We both started feeling sick halfway through our meal and couldn’t finish our food. I ended up throwing up about 20 feet outside the door, and my wife felt ill as well. We left early — overall, a terrible experience and a very disappointing way to end the weekend in Duluth.

Someone should really have the health department take a closer look — this doesn’t seem like an isolated issue.

EDIT: Wife just threw up 30 minutes after leaving. Health Dept is getting a call tomorrow morning.

EDIT 2: Salmonella & Staphylococcus Aureus diagnosis. 6 days later, still having issues on the toilet. Avoid this place!

The food was pretty good. I go here often for the AYCE. The staff is usually very nice.

We waited 15 minutes just to get our drinks, and then almost 20 for our appetizers. We were seated at a table close to where the sushi chefs are, I saw our order (didn't know if it was ours yet) sit on top of the case for almost 30 minutes along with 3 other plates. Our server was super nice but she definitely had too many tables or something. It wasn't that busy when we got there so im not sure what happened. Finally a different server noticed our food sitting there and brought it to us. Our deep fried sushi roll was cold by then. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but this is the 3rd time I've been here and service is so slow or backed up or short staffed. The food was hit and miss, some rolls were amazing bursting with flavor and others lacked but it was tough to judge due to how long I knew it was sitting there. Also they charge $5.50 for strawberry lemonade and no free refills, I thought that was strange. Over $10 for 2 lemonades seemed a bit much but its Canal Park. The lemonade was good, I only took a picture of that, by the time the food actually came we were too hungry I forgot to take more pictures for the review.

Not enough variety for an AYCE place. Mainly maki rolls.

The price of all you can eat is awesome $25 on a Saturday. You cant find that anywhere in the cities. The sushi was good. They do charge for uneaten food and the rolls they give you are BIG! So keep that in mind when getting all you can eat. They also say No sharing. We went on a Saturday night. The appetizers came at a decent rate, however we waited about an hour after the appetizers to get our sushi. I would come back but not on a Saturday night!

The food here was amazing and fresh! Staff were all very nice. The prices are very reasonable. The menu has an amazing selection. The wait here was significantly shorter than other nearby restaurants. The atmosphere is clean and decorated nicely. I would love to return!

Ordered take out. Nothing had any flavor. Kinda a bummer. Sushi roll was ok, hibachi chicken no flavor at all, Chicken fried rice NO, appetizers would be a pass too.

Really underwhelming food, which seems to be a theme for Asian food in Duluth. It's at least edible, but I'd only go here if I'm really craving Asian food and I really don't feel like cooking. It also can get quite crowded, and the wait for takeout can be extensive.

Service was good, vibes were chill.
Sushi was FANTASTIC. but the hibachi was pretty average. Not a bad place if you're around but pretty average if you're getting anything besides sushi.
