Pretty disappointed. Was excited to try the "Bang Bang" chicken sandwich. Very expensive but don't mind if its good.

Ends up the "Bang Bang Sauce" (which I had never had) was mostly Mayonnaise. And the whole entree was slathered in it. I am one of the unfortunate % of people who find mayo disgusting. It made the whole thing inedible. Wish they would say what has mayonnaise on the menu.

Also put a pickle with the fries (again, no pickle mentioned on the menu), which made what might have been otherwise great fries taste like pickles. Oh and the "paprika sauce" that came with the fries? Also appears to be mostly mayonnaise.

If a restaurant requires covering everything in mayonnaise (without mentioning that in the menu) and slopping pickles on everything... the food probably isn't that good.

Won't be coming back. $25 I'll never see again.

Corktown, update your online menu and let people know what to expect.

I recently dined at Corktown Eatery & Bar and had a good overall experience. We tried the smoked pork nachos and the garlicky mushroom Swiss smash burger. The nachos had amazing flavor with the brined onions really standing out, but some portions of the nachos were missing the smoked pork (pork was mainly in the middle). The burger came with delicious fries, though it was a bit greasy and could have used a bit more flavor. On a positive note, our waitress provided excellent service, and the comfortable, welcoming atmosphere made it a great place to relax and enjoy our meal. The bathrooms were extremely clean, which added to our positive experience.

What a disappointment. They used to have pretty good sandwiches at their last location. New location flat out sucks. I order the rueban and Buffalo crispy chicken tender to go. Both sandwiches were soggy and inedible. I had to use a fork to pick through the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The rueban was not a traditional rueban and also lacks flavor. I'm pretty sure it had kimchee and pickled jalepenos in it, little no sauer kraut. The meat was very dry and tough. Did not wow me at all and will not go back. Try their other restaurants. They're better.

I got the pastrami Reuben with high hopes and influenced by the server. The pastrami was extremely tough and chewy making the sandwich pretty tough to eat. I got it with a side of mac and cheese, which I’m pretty sure is melted American cheese and milk and some sprinkled cheddar cheese. It wasn’t even hot enough to melt the cheddar. Extremely disappointed in their “staple sandwich”. If that is the sandwich they were built on, they shouldn’t even be standing.
Sandwich with upgraded side was $19.

I went out to lunch with my sister and friend here. I ordered the loaded mac and cheese, which wasn’t super flavorful and didn’t have that much pulled pork, but it was a large portion. My sister ordered the baja bowl and thought it was super fresh, until she found a piece of blonde hair mixed in it. When we told the host, you could tell she was uncomfortable and didn’t know what to say, and offered to remake but her appetite had disappeared with the new finding. My other friend ordered a chicken sandwich, with fries and a piece of cornbread. The owner or manager came over and offered a free dessert considering the hair, which was nice; we got the chocolate ganache cake to go, which ending up being amazing (and hairless, thank god). Then the bill came, and the chicken sandwich was $18, and added $9 for fries and $2.00 also for “fries”, when we talked about it to the hostess she said it was “about the same” even though the cornbread was $2.99 and the fries were $2.00 extra for a side with a sandwich. The woman argued with us and we paid regardless. ALSO. there is a 2.5% gratuity added for kitchen staff if you don’t use cash—which is on the menu but is still stupid.

Another overpriced, pretentious restaurant from the Hanson regime. Don’t order the cheese curds because they’re not cheese curds; they’re literally a block of cheese cut into smaller blocks. They take these small blocks of cheese and fry them, which leaves you with a mushy, non crispy, overly greasy block of cheese. For me it’s the ultimate disrespect towards customers to mislead them but then to charge $15.00 for the darn thing is out right dooshy. The fried whitefish I ordered was also overpriced and overly greasy with very little fish among the over-battered, poorly butchered filet. Corktown sucks and so does the other restaurants this family opens. They cut hours and quality at the Duluth Grill to force you to eat at one of their other crappy restaurants. Go somewhere else, I suggest the Northern Waters Smokehaus.

Had a fish sandwich and wife had a burger. Fish sandwich was very good, the burger patty could’ve used some seasoning, seemed pretty bland. Everything else was great, will be back!

Gone there a couple times. Very good both times

Edit: very annoyed they've moved to frying everything in beef tallow. Can't eat more than half of the menu now. At least have a fryer with some kind of vegetable oil.

Just needed a soup and salad after doing touristy stuff all day. We were VERY impressed with the salad and the soup really hit the spot. The bartender Carter was super friendly and gave us great service.

Great options for just about everyone! We had the falafel raptor sandwich, side of blue cheese buffalo sprouts, and the humus among us wrap. Overall, food was good!! I think I would’ve enjoyed the falafel better if it were smaller pieces. They were way too big and didn’t seem completely cooked. Would come back purely for the vibe and service provided!! Loved there were several vegetarian options!
